I couldn’t imagine breastfeeding a Kid that big I stop at 7-8 months with both kids
I was gonna say, america is the only country where women on average stop at a year, but in many other countries still nursing at 4 is pretty common. My babes never went that long but I let them self wean and they quit around 13 months.
It shocked me when she said he was 4 i was like whhhat bc one i never even thought bout what age they wean them and all that type of stuff i wasnt even judging her i never thought bout all that stuff bc with my second son i just started breastfeeding him my 1st one i couldn't so I wouldn't dare judge bc i dont know and i did laugh bc i again was in shock im like whhat so yeah but i didnt judge her soo the only thing is im kinda nervous bout our bond i never knew how crazy our bond would be

My son is two and a half and still breastfeeds. Not often, but I’m hoping to wean him by 3. And PS I was totally one of those “I’m going to wean him by 1” and it didn’t work 😂

I’m with you. I also said “One and Done” but it’s so hard when it’s just you & like @no062014 said, without him taking her, the crying speaks volumes to our breasts 🥴 I’m still nursing and constantly listening to EVERYONE judge and try to control the situation
I stopped when she started to bite me and laugh every time. My production wasn’t great so I mostly nursed for comfort. She was a year old when we stopped

I think the who says as long as you can go. Some pediatricians recommend you stop at 1 year (but this is out dated advice). I breastfed my lo till she was about 15mos. I had enough I couldn't do it anymore. I was getting anxious. I was going to stop at a year but it was hard to wean her. A lot of crying and tears. My husband was a truck driver otr so it was hard as I didnt have someone else to take her to help her settle. So her crying would cause a let down so if I didnt nurse her I'd become engorged and hurt.
In the end you need to do what's right for your family. Do you want your body back, and finding yourself dreading the feeding then its time.to stop. If you enjoy the bonding time and aren't minding it then continue.

lol Shane has to and thinks it's funny when I say don't bite. That's why I usually breastfeed to a year then stop. With lily and Bret they didn't seem to want it after that anyways
Maybe the kiddo is super tall? My daughter could easily pass for a year or year and a half older than she is.
My sister did extended breast feeding until my nephews were like 3+. She'd come at you for this. ;) I remember her telling my nephew to finish chewing his food before he breastfed.

So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that
