On a scale of 1-10 how bad is the Epidural ?? && how bad is Natural birth??
DONT LIE ETHIER 😂
Debating if i want the Epidural or Natural birth 🤔🤔
Dont need no one telling me what i should do. Just wanting to see the pain tolerance for each ( although we all handle pain differently )
I had an epidural with my first, i definitely felt the pinch and this weird shock feeling (like electrical shock but obviously not bad lol) pain I would say maybe 2. This time I went natural, i did hypnobirthing and was able to labor at home until about 8 1/2-9 cm with pain being about a 3-4. I got out of "my zone" before leaving for the hospital and couldn't get back to it, at that point I'd say pain got to a 10. Hospital was 20 mins away, I was 9 1/2 cm when I got there at 7:50, had her at 9:02. The pain stayed at a 10 until she came out, but luckily it was only an hr. I was able to do some of my breathing techniques to stay a little more relaxed and not stall labor (tension works against your body and makes labor longer). I liked how I was able to get up right away and felt great an hr or 2 later, unlike with epidural. I only spent one night in the hospital and felt myself when I got home.
@paisleemommie, do they only give you the epidural during contractions ? (If so do you know why?)
In my opinion, the epidural is AMAZING!! however I'd be having full on contractions first before getting it because it does hurt a little if your not having contractions. I honestly hand it to the woman who have to have it for c sections when in no pain.
I went thru 56 hours of natural labor but when I got to 9cm my body froze and wouldn't go any further. I was stuck at 9 cm with no progress for 6 hours so I finally took the epidural. if you have a good support system with you during your labor and can find a way to keep calm (I used breathing techniques and soft nature sounds music) then you can get thru most of it natural I think. I ended up being glad I took the epidural for the end bc I pushed for 5 hours, they used the forceps to get my son out, and I had a 4th degree tear with lots of stitches. every woman is different but when you're in the moment you will choose what is best for you ! 😊
I didn't feel the epidural at all with my previous deliveries. I was in heaven after I got it
All these women that didn't feel the epidural are lucky. I certainly felt it. It was probably a 3 or 4 for me.
@paisleemommie, I understand where you're coming from I have 30 some odd days left and said I was gonna stop counting down so they'd fly but I lie to myself everyday lol
I have a high pain tolerance. I wanted to do all natural and I refused the epidural. I'm my going to lie it did hurt but I also had back labor the majority of my labor (which was long and tiring). Honestly I'm doing all natural this time around too. I used a tub as some of my relief. The water helped some.
I wanted to do natural labor but they had to induce me after 5 hours of very little progress and after they used the pitocin above a 3 my contractions went from a 5 to blacking out from the pain and I have a high pain tolerance so I caved and got the epidural and I didn't feel a thing it took them alittle longer to put it in cuz I kept contracting then it worked instantly but only on one side they tryed to get it to work on both sides but couldn't which happend to my mom also.. nurse said that it does happen
@mommyagain girl it feels like it.! The weeks nd days drag now. #MISERABLE
@meboom01, how long it took for them to put it in
@mommyagain, im 32wks soo i have about 8 weeks left
Lol they told me to hold a pillow while they did it and I gripped onto it so tight lol and I didn't feel a thing when I started pushing, just pressure from the contractions. I did feel her come out though, but it wasn't painful at all.
@paisleemommie, Lol aw lawd poor baby let me know what you end up doing how much longer do you have
@meboom01 thats what im scared of ill move cause of the contractions 😕
😂😂 my mom has me scared to do ether.! Soo idk. Cause ik while they are giving you the epidural you cant move. && im scared that ill move cause they give it to you during a contraction. @mommyagain soo i guess im just gone pray nd let the lord take the wheel
I loved the epidural! I didn't even feel the needle tbh. It was just hard staying still for me because right when he told me to stay still I had a contraction lol the only down side was it would wear off every now and then but they gave me a button to push for whenever it did to up the dosage. I just couldn't take those contractions, they were too painful for me (I have a low pain tolerance)
I had natural the pain was tolerable until I got ready to push the head out that's when the pain went from about a 5 to a 10 but other than that I was fine people had me thinking I was going to die if I went natural and it was nothing like that
Epidural vs natural birth.....
Has anybody experienced both? What are differences???
(I did natural birth, just want to hear your experiences with epidural or natural and know how you felt afterwards)
How many mamas had a natural birth? (No epidural, or failed epidural)
Natural birth? stories/suggestions to get theu it. I'm going to have a natural birth this time around but I am a bit scared of the pain. I put no epidural on my birth plan and trying hard not to edit it LOL
How many moms had a natural birth with no epidural? I really want to stay away from an epidural if I can but I'm not sure how bad the pain really is..
Mom's that went natural no meds , was it painful? Or painful PAINFUL ? I got an epidural last time but I wanna go no meds...
It only took a few minutes really. The only awkward part was the guy doing it kept flirting with the nurse lol
