Epidural vs natural birth..... Has anybody experienced both? What are differences???

@torrey_, yes I was having contractions that whole day and I was scheduled to be induced the next day but my mucus plug broke and my contractions were getting closer together. By the time I got there it was midnight and they suggested I get the epidural then instead of waiting like I wanted to. I'm glad I did though because I was able to get some sleep. I woke about 6am, visited with family and then I'm not sure what time I started pushing but it didn't seem long. It didn't wear off, once I got it I did not feel anything at all until she started coming lol the epidural also made me sick, while I was pushing I puked all over myself 🤢sorry for long response lol

Please don't do the epidural it will give you life long back pain

Epidural was my best friend !

I tried to have vaginal birth but her head got stuck so I had to have emergency c-section!

I did 3 natural and 2 epidurals I prefer epidural

@torrey_, I think it took so long cuz I just couldn't tell if I was pushing and I couldn't feel the contractions to know when to push. But she came out alert. The had to use a suction 😒🙄 big head baby lol

I went into labor 1:30am and was done by 6:00am

And u could feel while pushing? Did it wear off?

How did your baby come out? Very alert?

I had an epidural and honestly I was more scared of that shot in my back than child birth. It helped ease the contraction pain, which was great because it was 1am when I got it and didn't give both until 1pm so I was able to get some sleep. I was definitely still able to feel everything when I was pushing.

I couldn't feel anything while pushing so it took a lot longer. I went all the way to 8cm I should have just toughed it out. And it took so long to wear off I couldn't walk for a whole day after 🤷🏾‍♀️

@proudmommyoftwo_, girl!!! Me too! But somehow I managed. Lots of yelling and crying and cursing but I made it through. Barely😅

@juliaschade41, the contractions were so hard for me but pushing was soooooo easy

I had epidurals both times I have a low tolerance for pain @torrey_

I wish I did mine natural I didn't like the epidural
