Breastfeeding moms out there I'm going to be a first time mom and really want to just breastfeed my daughter I'm leaking already but what other things could I take or drink to make more milk when I have my daughter? thank you for the help .
Well make sure to take pumping breaks at work and also don't get discouraged if when you pump you don't get much. A lot of women can't get anything when they pump but baby is nice and full and chunky :)
they say not to pump now because the milk is the best for the baby when they are born @dcb012
Yeah I go back to work 6 weeks after so I'm going to need a lot of milk I work 6 hours or more sometimes @dcb012
I never leaked, but was a cow until my daughter got thrush. Same with my son until I took doctor prescribed medication that killed my supply too
It's not the best tasting lol but it's not awful! I usually put milk and sugar into mine and drink it as fast as possible. Usually a coffee mug only takes a few swallows. @mamesey is right. A lot of women don't use anything but I had to store quite a bit and was nursing while going to school and working so I needed my supply higher than just for baby. And then when my DD got thrush my milk crashed and was unable to come back. Can also do manual stimulation if you are pumping. But pumping helps as well.
I nope I don't have problems I want her breastfeed only I leak now so I'm praying it's not a problem @mamesey
Calcium and vitamin d of course. And consuming 2tbs of extra virgin coconut oil can help you absorb both of those and more nutrients from your food. Fruits and veggies. Tons of water!
I recommend making them over buying them honestly.... That way you can put what you need/want in them. Some people say it works I didn't have any luck with anything so I can't attest to any of it actually working....
I've been breastfeeding 8 months and haven't taken any of those things to up the supply and we are doing fine :)
okay thank you so much @dcb012
