Im sure you have lots of support and I'm here to support also. I developed post partum depression after my son bc I let a lot of that get to me. They were there when I had him but barely seen him in 2 yrs. And at one point they were only 20 min away! And right now we're still not that far away. I'm just glad you're a strong woman.
his not even going to be there for her birth he lives 5 hrs away he has a job tho if he wanted to see her he can get on the bus but his not @lashellg
@taiboos_mommy16, My son's dad is not on his birth certificate so he automatically has my last name. My daughter's last name is hyphenated with both of our names. Its whatever you choose and what's best for you. I wish I would have just given her mine. Even though her dad is there he hasn't done too much but his family has and I just didnt want the argument. My daughter is 9 and only want to use my last name. No judgment here at all. And I agree if there not worth it don't do it bc you will regret it. I know I did with her.
do what you feel is right for your child no judgment I'm just saying if they really haven't done anything to earn it why give it to them @kendallraesmommy

its really based how you grew up in the situation I feel that its only right to name your child after someone you know will be there even if your not married or together its about the parenting to me not who made you because I know I would change my name to my moms name still in a heartbeat but I plan on meeting someone I'll spend my life with later in life lol @hermommy but I completely understand you I never meet my father if it wasnt on Facebook msgs @jasminemaye
@taiboos_mommy16, I'm sticking with my decision! He hasn't been to any doctor appointments , He hasn't called to see if we're good, He hasn't showed an ounce of care or compassion! No I wasn't ready for this but I WILL do what's best for my DAUGHTER! I will never stop him from trying to be apart of her life! But he will not bounce in and out of her life whenever he pleases! I told him if he's not going to be consistent then I don't want him around at all!

@nienie my dad was basically a sperm donor to me and my mom gave me his last name I HATED being named after a stranger and didn't think it was fair I had to be different from the ones who loved me and were actually there so I'm sticking with @taiboos_mommy16 on this one and all the others. Why would you want to be named or name your child after someone that just doesn't care.

My mother was in the same boat now that I am older I switched my last name. To be honest let the kid decide when they are old enough to but hats off to you ladies for stayin in there

So I made the post not to long ago about not having rights to the name blah blah blah well my cousin made a list of baby names for girls and guess what there it is again last one on the list!!! && she knew from being pregnant with my 2nd how bad I wanted that name if I had a girl!! lord if she ends up naming her daughter the name I wanted I’m still going name my daughter that too just different spelling!! I’ll be that person idc 🤣 like come up with your own unique names not take mine
