I don't understand the system sometimes. I applied for SNAP (food stamps) and I didn't qualify because I don't make enough. Uhm? Isn't that the whole point of asking for assistance????

that's what I applied for and I'm literally like 10 cents over. like I pay my taxes and I'm a working citizen who needs help and you won't help me? makes no sense. @valerie_jean

With me, my SO and two kids and him being the only income we are denied all help. Including wic and hud because 'we make a dollar extra'.

But a family member who is married and has 6 kids and one income and same job as my SO can get 1200 a month. Oh she filled single but does have a husband. I know it's not right and I have written a letter several times.

Seems that way but I'm to much of a chicken shit to even attempt it. Just imagine cheating the system for years then get caught and have to pay it back. Plus there's people that actually need the help more than myself.

Yep cheating the system is the only way to get any real help. I have a friend who lives with her parents, in a beautiful house and works part time. She's 25, no kids and fully able to work. She has a free phone, gets $180 a month in food stamps, and $350 in general assistance. Meanwhile, I'm working as far into my pregnancy as possible to try and make ends meet and be comfortable financially when the baby comes so I can take time off. It pisses me off sooooooo bad!!!

That is such bullshit :( it's ass backwards, they really make it hard for ppl who deserve it most. but if you're just a lazy pos you pretty much automatically quality. smh.
