so today my son has been so needy. hes almost 2 weeks old and has been wonderful but all day today he has not slept longer than 20 minutes cause he wakes up and realizes im gone. he will wake up and start crying like he's hungry so i out him on my boob and he sucks a little and then passes out he stays asleep and is fine as long as he is on me. the second i put him down he isnt having it. im so exhausted and dont understand what is going on with him today

yeah ive been with him all day now and enjoy it very much i just wasnt sure if he wasnt feeling well or what i just hope he doesnt do it all the time. i can handle here and there with the constantness but all the time would really take a toll on me @amaperalta03
My baby is 3 weeks and has days like this. She still doesn't sleep unless she is being held
@lexilulu, yep I was nervous about it as well and called my pediatrician when Laken first started to do it . Lol this is my first baby so a lot of things make me nervous .!
That's very normal. Just give him what he wants that's how he gains trust in you. It's not easy I know but just do what ever it takes to sooth him good luck

My daughter is 6 weeks old and she has days like that as well. Then I'll wake up the next day and she will nap good and be back in her normal routine
AJ has days like that. Just like he has certain times of the day that he just wants to cuddle. He falls asleep on me or Daddy's chest...Sometimes he'll be ok for us to put him down, sometimes he's just cranky and clingy.
