really sick of people jumping down the next moms throat just because YOU are okay with being pregnant for 40+ doesn't mean the next mom is. If you know U dont agree why bother commenting on their post! my Doctor won't let me go past my due date period and I'm totally fine with that .

Exactly. My daughter ended up having acid reflux really bad and I couldn't breastfeed after 2 months because she just threw r back up. It sucked but I did what was best for her.

I don't think my doctor will let me go past my due date due to gestational diabetes which is fine with me!

@andiryan93, she people dont realize that just bc your baby is in longer doesn't automatically mean that s/he will be healthier

Granted my daughter went 40 weeks 3 days. She did end up with health problems and we think she may have swallowed some meconium but they never checked her to see if she did. She's as healthy as can be now. They won't let me go over now because of all her issues she had.

I think as long as your baby is healthy there is nothing wrong with being induced as long as it's not to early of course.

I don't wanna go past my due date and I'm glad my Dr will induce me at 38 weeks due to scare of complications from my last birth but I'm not complaining!

My midwife barely let me go past my due date with my daughter. They don't like to go past the due date due to the possibility of meconium being present when the water breaks. I totally agree with your post.
