$200 Monthly Grocery allowance :/ harder than I thought to try and plan a meal everyday. Any thoughts/tips/cheap meals would be greatly appreciated! #stressed

Meat and dairy is expensive. Lentils, beans, peas, bananas, rice and pasta are all really healthy and cheap bulk foods.

eefinitely look for sales and buy meat in family sizes and rebag when you get home. sometimes you can also find coupons at certain stores. i dont know if you have an aldis or save a lot near you but thats where i do all of my shopping. pinterest has some recipes for cheap and simple meals.

stuff like spaghetti , chili, tacos, homeade soups. all u will need for soup and chili are can veggies. and a small pack of meat. look at sales online at ur local stores to see who had the best prices or cheap sales before you shop.

There are lots of meals you can cook with out meat, that will help save a lot of money as well! Pinterest has a bunch of ideas and meal plans you can follow and there are all based of budgets! I hope this helps!

I always bought my meats in the family sizes. when I got home I would put a few pieces of meat in freezer bags and freeze it. that way when I got home I could take and use a few pieces instead of cooking a whole package and wasting it. plus its saves so much more money buying the family size!
