I went to the hospital with no bag...used a cart to get everything down to the car when i left, yoy accumulate a lot when you're there. :p

oh I totally get it! they just stressed to us at our hospital tour, to ask with any questions. including if we just wanted to know what they provide like bath tubs in every room, yoga balls, shampoo, etc :)

the hospital should have pads, dermaplast, and witch hazel pads (standard procedure) and give you extra for home. they definitely will give you diapers too. they gave me a few packs to take home as well. every hospital provides those. Ours also had a hair dryer in every room.
you also can call and ask them and they'll tell you everything they provide.

I have depends, maxi pads, tucks wipes, hair ties, hair dryer, a robe, night gown, slippers, and dermaplast! For baby I have a diaper shirt, (the one that unsnaps in the front and ends just above belly button for umbilical cord), bottle, formula, pacifier, coming home outfit, blanket , diapers, socks and mittens. I read that some hospitals supply just about everything you need while others dont. So I'm trying my best to be prepared if the hospital doesn't deliver lol @mypreemieprincess

I definitely wouldn't over pack. my essentials were; pillow, hairtie/brush, extenstion cord, phone charger. then obviously an outfit for baby to leave in. everything else was provided or unnecessary to me.

Thanks @mypreemieprincess! Reading that helped put me at ease...at least for a little while lol it definitely readjusts my mindset: pack only what's necessary!

Oh my! @kejs0911 That sounds like something my husband would do, not thinking! 😂😂 how dreadful! I'm in the state of mind that she could be here any time now so I'm doing my best to get everything together! I'm about 1/2 way there!

@joleen23, I did the same before delivering my first. He came unexpectedly at 35wks. Sad to say I forgot to pack a bag for me. So, baby had everything, but I had to go home in a pair of WHITE sweat pants my idiot ex had brought from our house. And his Tshirt because he forgot to grab one of mine. Even though all my clothes were in one place. Just awful. Lol. So, with my second I had both mine and babies bags packed ahead of time. Didn't deliver him until 3 9wks and 4days. Lol. :) I will be ready this time also.
