My son won't latch. And I pump for him

But can't keep up!! With both boobs I only get an oz and he feeds every 2 to 2 n half hours so I'm trying to pump for him in between.

Haven't slept in days so my husband suggested since pumping isn't working good to do formula at night... I feel guilty but my boobs aren't doing enough for my baby

Who does breast milk & formula!!!!!???!? How does it go for u and baby?

@Jennaboo if they want to volunteer to breastfeed for you more power to them 😜 it's honestly not possible for some women to breastfeed. As long as your baby is fed and happy, no one should be criticizing you 💗

Thank u :) I have family members who keep getting mad at me when I say how hard breastfeeding is and that I might stop just because their babies were breastfed and no formula @amarsig23

I pumped and supplemented with formula for 6 months and it went great. I could never keep up with my son, he's such a healthy eater, but he never showed an aversion to formula or anything. He liked both. Just be consistent with your pumping to keep your supply up. When your baby is a newborn I believe every 2-3 hours is what's recommended. Good luck!! Every bit of breast milk will help, but if you can't do it, plenty of awesome babies were raised on just formula and made it :)

I only did at hosptial and they told me by boob so big and he's so small that once I pump and my boobs go down and he gets bigger it'll b easier. I try latching but he's used to the bottle @bianca_rose

I did it for a while, it was great! I didn't use standard formula, I used supplementation!

Have you seen a lactation consultant? They can show you how to get him to latch, and my ins covered it. There are also YouTube videos about latching that may help you

My baby did all three! I pumped, gave her formula, and had her on the breast. she liked the formula the best just because she got fed RIGHT away

I had to supplement formula because my baby wasn't gaining weight properly. It broke my heart and I felt so guilty. But now I'm over it. I realized as long as she's happy and fed it doesn't matter. She still gets mostly breast milk which makes me happy. But the formula takes a lot of stress of me. Husband can help out more and I've been getting more sleep because she gets full and sleeps longer. If you want to avoid formula maybe see a lactation consultant to help with latch or look into ways to boost supply. But if the stress gets to be too much don't feel guilty for supplementing. Sometimes that's what's best for you and baby.

When can I start giving my son regular milk? He turns 10 months in 2 days. I bought unsweetened almond milk yesterday so he can try. Would that be okay? I’m lowkey tired of him on formula but I mean he’s still a baby lol.

amysbabies 12 months. Focus on purees, you can steam veggies and mash them yourself. Or mash up some
makethatfour I also was told to start peanut butter at 6 months for exact what @tacos4lyfe stated.
jazzyjazz I gave my kids a little peanut butter at around 8 months...and transitioned them to cows milk
