Do it at a professional shop like a piercing shop or tattoo shop, it's much more sanitary and they actually have rules to abide by, Claire's and Walmart piercing guns aren't sanitary, and the people aren't trained to pierce.
@babykamya2016, I agree with @ashsloan sounds little strange but I will say this I worked at Claire's as a teen and they don't give much training to those young girls we just had to read a pamphlet and take a little quiz this was like 17 years ago so it may have changed but my point was I was no where near qualified in my own opinion. Also the piercing guns actually just push the skin to the sides and pierce with the actually earring which is very bad bc that tiny piece of skin is never removed and gets infected easily where is a tattoo shop pierce with a needle then adds the earring. I have no clue or experience and didn't even know pediatricians did that. If I had a daughter I would do one of these 3 ways 1. Tattoo shop 2. Buy my own piercing gun from Sally beauty supply and do it myself 3. Ice the ear take a raw potato place behind ear then push a needle threw into potato I know sounds crazy but I watched my grandma pierce many little girls ears this way and they were fine. However I wouldn't do that to a baby only like a young girl when she is old enough to speak and say yes I want my ears pierced. Best of luck
