Azriel at 2 days old vs 11 weeks old. since the beginning he's been so well in his cradleboard. he puts himself right to sleep once I lace him up. or if he's not tired he just chills and watches his surroundings. and at this point, he can sleep the longest when he's in the board. I love that I can carry on these traditions and that Azriel loves it too!
@ahredfox, I'm making a moss bag too.. just taking forever cause I'm so busy lol. and yes my son loves to be swaddled too!
I love this! That's so awesome. I can't wait for my mom to finish my sons cradleboard and a mossbag. My son loves to be swaddled.
I'm Cherokee and for the life of me I can't find those. Did you make yours?
ive never heard them called that.but heard it comforts them like no other!
what a cutie.
were indian also, and we use to attend powwows and camp sites just for natives and i use to see babies wrapped in papooses?i believe theyre called.love it and the culture
It's not so much about it being because it's wrong or anything, just facts. It's similar with baby carriers. Specialists have found that carriers with the narrow crotch can cause hip issues because it goes against the natural way that the hips work. Carriers like the ergo that allow baby to be carried in a more seated position are better for the hips. Of course most babies are fine either way, but it increases the risk. I still think that it's nice to see traditions passed down to generations. I have so many different cultural backgrounds and i wish i knew some of the traditions of my ancestors.
@arivera64, that's not true. I've seen children in my family & community cradleboarding since I can remember and all of those kids grew up perfectly healthy and no hip problems. there's always going to be someone who has to find something wrong with what we do, but that doesn't mean they're right. lol
Cool. I just kind of googled it a little. I did read that it's linked to hip dysplasia as a downside....but it's an interesting backstory. I enjoy learning about different cultures and traditions
@lifewithplumms, lol it is or else why would I put my own precious baby in it?
@arivera64, yes it is & there's a story but it's very long and a lot to type lol here's a link for a little more info though ссылка
is that a native american tradition? I've never seen that before. Is there a "story" behind it? I'm so curious lol
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
My 7 week old baby falls asleep faster and sleeps longer on his tummy. Which I have read he shouldn't sleep on his stomach. I'm just wondering how bad would it be if he did.
So my son is 5 years old and he's very behind on knowing his ABC's and numbers and also writing his name. I don't know what to do because he starts kinder next month.

My little guy! So in love!! I love doing skin to skin with him and he loves sleeping on his mommy! Wouldn't trade this for the world! ❤💙👣👑
opinions please ..
Kai has basically outgrown his moses basket so I was looking to get a crib until he's 6months and can go in his own room, some work colleagues have told my partner if he's outgrown the moses basket he might aswell be in his own room and to just get one of those sensors to put under his cot, I feel like he's too little to be in his own room though 🤔
what has everyone else done?
Mine is so plain and simple.. I've seen some bad ass mossbags with applique and I'm like man.. If only I had the time!
