How do the breastfeeding mommies feel about breastfeeding around their toddler? Is it something you embrace and introduce to them or keep covered and try not to have to acknowledge it as much as possible. Just wanting thoughts on it! ☺️
Well I embraced & introduced it to my daughter without even thinking about it. I was just asked if I didn't think I should keep that private from her. And just wanted others opinions. @heavensent3 @tristan-makes-5 @sev1226 @tarateller2010 @leiibaaaby @crunchymomma @ahauge6 @xoamac
i never thought about that. i have a 3 year old and when i breastfeed his sister it's nothing to him i just tell him she's drinking milk and he's like ok and continues doing what he's doing Lol
i have a 13 year old boy, 11 year old boy, 7 year old boy, and a 5 year old girl and the baby is 4 months i breastfeed infront of them all without a cover.
I would embrace and introduce it to your toddler so they don't look at it as sexual. Breasts were made for feeding.. & explain to him/her that's how they were fed when they were a baby.
I nurse around my 3.5 year old since day one. she did have a few time during the first 2 weeks where she'd yell something like "sisters eating mommy's boob!" but now it's just another thing around the house and she doesn't care.
I dont have a toddler of my own but my lil sister and lil cousins are so use to it now its not a big deal to anyone in my house anymore cause i just walk around finding her its to much of a hassle to hide alil areola 😂
@dezichantel, I have a 8 year old step son so I feel super awkward but I have to remember that I'm feeding a baby and I've told him that women have boobies to feed babies and stuff so idk I'm still warming up to it
I think breastfeeding is natural and the only way to destigmatize it is to introduce it to our young ones. Then they grow up knowing breasts are for food and will be proud to feed their little ones the same way
So thank you all!! 😘
