Help ! 😰 My baby is 5wks old, if he was in pain or something bugging him then he would cry at night too right ? Because the past 5 days he's been amazing at night, he sleeps 4 hours, then feeds, then sleeps another 4 hours but then starting at 10am until 10pm he cries all day, he either wants to feed or wants to be held and only takes little 20-30 min naps
reading online it says a 4 month old should be sleeping around 11 hrs a night. mine barley sleeps 7.... and wakes up frequently for feeds... why???!!! how come my baby doesn't need sleep?! he'll nap around 4 hrs during the day If I'm lucky. but I read they need between 4-6 hrs of nap during the day. so he needs 4 more hours at night!!!
Waking to feed? My dd is a week old and I was told by her doctor to wake her every 2 hours during the day and 3-4 hours at night to feed her. For the first 3 days I did that and when I would wake her fit a night feeding she was fussy and usually wouldn't go back to sleep and would want to nurse constantly until about 9 am. I tried not waking her last night and she slept beautifully! She woke up around 6 hours in and ate then slept another hour or so and ate again. Is it ok to let her sleep?
How do I get my 11 day old son on a different sleeping schedule. Some how he picked up the habit to sleep all day after every feeding but at night he eats and is wide awake the whole time until the next feeding. I probably get 2 hours of sleep from 8pm-8am!
Okay, need opinions. I am a ftm so dont be rude. My son is 12 days old and from like 4 days old he has been eating 4oz bottles every threeish hours, because he acts hungry. The past couple nights he has been so colicy and wont sleep at night. Am i over feeding him or?
Sleeping through the night How did you do it? Am I doing it wrong? My kid eats every 3-4 hours, including at night. I've been reading up on how I can get him to sleep more at night but all I really found was extending the length between feedings. I just don't see how I can do that at night if he's showing so many signs of hunger by the 3-4 hour mark. I also read feeding baby more during the day so they'll sleep more at night.

I totally understand. My boobs used to hurt so bad. I doubt he's in pain, it's common for them to cluster feed but you can always ask your doc. My girl was at the 40th percentile when born and by her 2 month check up she was in the 90th (for height and weight). So he may be doing a ton of eating and growing

@luuuuuucyyy, My son hasn't thrown up and he's doing poop okay, if he keeps getting fussy like this, then I'm gonna have to head to the doctor and see what's going on

She did that for the first 2 months. She would cluster feed all day and not nap more than 10 minutes at a time but would sleep 4 hours straight at night, wake up to feed, and sleep another 4-5 hours straight

His belly button popping out and looked like a big ball when he cried. It doesn't look normal, then he got super fussy had trouble going number 2 & was vomiting.

Girl my son has an umbilical hernia & during the day he is stuck like glue on me. Latched all day & falls asleep on me. Yet at night he sleeps like normal, only waking up twice.

trust me. I had the same problem with my son. certain times their tummy doesn't digest well. or the amount. he still has a bit of time until his body gets used to a routine if you have one for him.

That's totally normal. My baby fed every 5-10 minutes the first 2 months and never slept longer than 10 minutes at a time. It's a new baby he will figure things out.

it could be colic. it could be teething. can even be constipation.
