How do I get my 11 day old son on a different sleeping schedule. Some how he picked up the habit to sleep all day after every feeding but at night he eats and is wide awake the whole time until the next feeding. I probably get 2 hours of sleep from 8pm-8am!
@levleah, hey. Ya. Like if you're laying in bed. Lay her exactly how you're laying just next to you! (: and that's no fun :/ I'm sorry mama! When I co sleep I literally lay on my right side in the spooning position and cradle him in my arm so he's nice and close to me. He likes his head on my boobs and to feel my breath on his face. And his feet are in fetal position against my legs then I cover him with his blanket then mine! He sleeps like a baby every time. Snoring and all. Tonight we're trying to not co sleep tho! Only holding him to feed and rock him to semi sleep then rocking his pack n play gently. Round 1 seems to be a success. He's been asleep for 22 mins without waking up! 👌🏻nap time for this mama!
@camdensmama, ps. Dove would NOT cosleep last night... it was the first time trying it in my bed... the only other time was on the couch but then I read that's super dangerous. I don't think she's sleeping again tonight. 😭
@camdensmama, stupid question but are they supposed to be lying parallel to you? vertically, like you are?@kristinamarie_1996
@levleah, we did. So far he sleeps a little better when he actually goes to sleep!
did you try this flipping thing?? I have to know if it works!
@kristinamarie_1996, did you do it once a night? Or just once?
@ngujen, I guess they just figure it out on their own! Hoping it happens soon tho! Lol I need some night time sleep! Lol
@queendavis, hey mama. Sorry just now getting back to you. He will be 2 weeks Monday so praying he starts working it out on his own. And I should nap with him during the day but sometimes I feel worse only sleeping 2 hours at a time rather then just getting up. And he's been more alert today which was nice. He still napped. But not as much as he usually does!
it took 2 nights for it to start working for us! I hope it works for you! :)
@kristinamarie_1996, my husband just tried it. I'll let you know how it goes! Oh man. Can't believe I tried it!
i said the same thing when people told me about it! i didn't think it would work but we tried it and it does work!
"flip" him! all you do is lay him on his back, his head towards you and his feet away from you and gently pick him straight upside down, slowly and supporting his head, hold for 3 sec upside down and gently finish the flip, he should be laying on his tummy with his feet towards you after, it does not harm them! my daughter had her nights and days mixed up and we "flipped" her and now she only wakes up once at night to eat and goes right back to sleep. it sounds silly but many woman swear by it!
He will probably have to make the switch on his own. But try your best to keep him awake during the day. I know it's hard girl. My daughter had her days and nights mixed up too and I was too tired during the day to try and keep her awake lol. But eventually she just switched on her own at a few weeks old. You got this!! Just sleep all day with him and enjoy it if you can 😊😊 I wish I could nap with my newborn lol
my daughter did that the first two weeks then somehow switched on her own :o
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Question ladies I started giving my son solid food at 4 1/2 months old. And I only gave him 2oz of oatmeal and half a container of veggies once a day he gets it before bed I'm currently still doing the same feeding with it but I know when they get older you can do veggies like 2-3 times a day. How much do you guys do a day?
Subject = husbands/s.o.
Does your s.o help with baby at night? Like, oh idk with feedings? Haha Mine tries to but he gets up early for work so I guess that opts him out of caring for baby at night? I'm a sahm currently. It's the weekend and my husband can sleep through our sons crying on the baby monitor that is on my husbands night stand lol on loud!!! I knew he slept like a hibernating bear but how in the world can he sleep through such a thing? I can't believe it. And he was totally suppose...
Alright I need tricks on how to get my baby to sleep faster at night he will sleep through the night once we get him to sleep but it's been taking 3 hours to get him to sleep when he's rarely slept through the day :/ someone help!
Dove's been sleeping in her bouncer... but she hasn't been really asleep all night. Her eyes are closed but she's randomly cry for a few seconds or just fusses. This has gone on ALL night. I'm exhausted.
