quick question, when can I start working out after having a normal vaginally birth? I'm almost 4 weeks post partum and I took it upon myself to start the insanity workout because I use to do it before being pregnant but I'm getting feedback from people saying I shouldn't be working out til 6 weeks post partum. ugh just want to get the body back I had before pregnancy because looking at my flabby stomach makes me so depressed :/
@mommytobe_, my doctor okay ed me, but you can always call your doctor's office to see if it's okay
I didn't have any complications in fact I already stopped bleeding as well i feel fine @aphrodite2014
they say that you are still at risk of hemorrhaging up to 6 weeks after birth though
if you didn't have any complications it should be alright, but my doctor said I could start walking and whatnot as soon as I feel okay to do so just don't over do it..
I would ease into it and not do insanity right away. For me, I had diastasis Recti (separation of abdominal muscles) and didn't realize it til 9 months pp. I was doin all these hardcore crunches and my stomach was still big. Just a week of doing bridges and single leg lifts and my stomach has shown much more progress. This is one of the kind of things you should have your doctor check for before working out.
