ladies, SIDS is Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. it is completely unexplained and unpredictable. there is NO WAY TO prevent SIDS. if your baby smothers them self with a blanket that is suffocation. NOT SIDS! all these rules, and things you can buy to "reduce the risk of SIDS" are bogus. you cannot stop it, they don't know what causes it so they don't know how to reduce the risk of it. please stop bullying other mommas for choosing to let their babies sleep on their bellies, or use padded bumper pads. those do NOT cause SIDS. stop telling people they do!
@crunchymomma exactly, when a baby can't breath that's suffocation not SIDS they can't tell you why baby died with SIDS. All that stuff is truly unnecessary -.-
because business market things, like those owlet bracelets to monitor your babies heart rate and alert you if there's a problem, mesh bumper pads, and things like sleep positioners as a preventative of SIDS. they prey on people who don't know the truth about SIDS to make money. in the end they do two things, cause unnecessary stress and a false sense of security. @hermommy
right, you can reduce the risk of suffocation but SIDS it just happens. soo scary!! I always woke up in the middle of the night to check to make sure my kids were breathing! that freaks me out so much
