you can get your water broken if you want @shayleesimmons. that itself could make you dilate more. being 6 hrs in i WOULDN'T get one yet. I myself was induced at 8pm on a Sunday night and they broke my water on a Tuesday morning around 9 am. at 4 PM that Tuesday they gave me the epidural because I didn't dilate anymore. I had a pitocin drip all of the Monday from 7am-8pm as high as it would go I think was 20 drips/min. anyway, Tuesday after they broke my water they started the pitocin drip again and I dilated to a 3 and stopped dilating. that was 6+hrs of no progress. they offered it as a past resort to a c section. so I took it and it took 5 hr to fully dilate from a 3 to a 10
@rulannsmommy2016, @mommyoftwo0321 @abeals04 @mamaash @mskiera15 well it's like I'm not worried about it hurting my back because I have back pain all the time and I've already had to get a spinal tap that hurt...I'm just worried about when my contractions get stronger I don't want to be rolling all over the bed you know? They just upped my pitocin for the third time
If you think you can do without then do what's best but don't wait too long especially if the contractions get worse
After they broke my water I went from 5 cm to 9 cm in 30 min I would just wait till they actually feel painful I didn't really want one so I waited as long as possible
With my first I got it at 2cm I had back labor and was in the worse pain of my life lol and with my second I held out till 7 1/2cm 😊😊😊

@whitney, @abeals04 @rylannsmommy2016 @mskiera15 when do you guys think I should get mine? I'm almost 4cm right now and am 6 hours in...I'm doing okay, contractions are getting stronger and closer together and they're talking about breaking my water
I was induced and got it on day 2 of induction, I dilated from a 1-3with water breaking via dr, and got stuck at a 3 for 6+hrs and they said an epidural might help and it did I went from a 3-9 between 4pm and 9pm and then to a 10 when they woke me up and adjusted me I dilated with that. then pushed for an hr and 51 min
When you get to the hospital you can ask for one and they will give it to you depending on how far you are dilated
@whitney, how many centimeters were you dilated?
I never got to get it I asked at nine cm and then I signed the papers and then I was like I need to push all in a matter of five min
@kinl7613, I was almost to four cm the last time they checked at 6, they said if she's moved down enough when they check again in a few minutes they're going to break my water
