Ok well that is your opinion. @theinkedmommy my dog gets startled once in awhile but doesn't try to bite my face I'm just saying...

@edomke, I know they're not retarded, but when startled anything can happen. They're animals, not people. At the end of the day they're gonna act like an animal first, and think second. The parents should've supervised the child better. I'd never blame the animal.

The dog isn't retarded @theinkedmommy it knows better not to attack a human. But I don't think it should be put down

I am sorry but my dog growled at my son and I flipped shit. Dogs have an instinct with babies. My dog is really gentle with my son without training. They know better and my dog hasn't growled at him sense. That poor poor child! The child doesn't know better and didn't mean to either and sure didn't deserve that to happen. Now putting the dog down I don't agree with but it's definitely the dogs fault as well

Thank you! I've met mean dogs of all breeds, and it's all in how you raise them. That being said, you watch your dogs with your kids - plain and simple. We've got two lab mixes that loooove our son, partly because of their personalities and partly because we worked with them starting before he was born. Not working with your dog is a disservice to them. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. My gut says they didn't supervise them and that they never prepared their dog for baby. Shame on them.

when my son was about 6 months old he was crawling off our porch his dad was outside with him well our pit named titan grabbed him by his pants and started to bring him back. Best dog we had, sadly our new home wouldn't let us have him but as soon as we can I'm getting another one best dog I can think to have around my babies and me.

pits are very protective and territorial dogs. we will have one for our babies! I couldn't think of a better pet to guard my babies. actually a friend of ours has 3 blue brindle pits he's going to give us one lol looked at my daughter yesterday and said she needed a puppy so he's giving 'her' a puppy.

I plan to get another to grow up with the baby.

Ive raised 7 pitbulls. Each one has been a sweet heart.

For all we know the baby was trying to take something from the dog or reaching toward it when it had something in its mouth and the parwnts didnt care.

Dalmatians are more aggressive and harmful than pitbull's!

@gingermama, thank you!!! And if they knew the dog was kinda jumpy to begin with they needed to work on that so he wouldn't be scared at little things before leaving anyone too close to the dog! It's not the dogs fault he was scared. He couldve had a horrible up bringing. They have to be desensitized. Just like breaking in a horse. But like you said.. All because it was a pit bull the dog gets blamed.

@gingermama, They always focus on Pitbull attacks. They'll never focus on any other breed because they're all fucktards. I cant tell you how many times our pit has licked my 2 month old UNDER SUPERVISION. The number one aggressive dog? The damn dachshund. NOT the Pitbull. Our chihuahua is more of a bastard then anything.
