Ever since I got pregnant I knew I wanted to strictly breastfeed well when my son was born he wouldn't latch on. His doctor says he is tongue tied and we are going to see an ear nose and throat doctor about getting it clipped. For now I'm pumping and hopefully after this procedure he will be able to latch because pumping so often is painfull. Have any of you mommies had to deal with this?

Thank you ladies. I wasn't sure if a nippers shield would help but I will definitely get me one now cause I would much rather him latch than to pump and I have been using coconut oil after every feeding. @meagansimone @tommy247 @rellabella @firdous2015

Yup, I had that same problem. I wanted to breastfeed SOO BAD, but she couldn't latch. I fed her one time wearing a nipple shield. And she latched onto that. So I stayed 6 months every time I wanted to feed her, day and night I put on a nipple shied. I got my first one from a lactation nurse at the hospital but they sell them at Walgreens, or u can look online.
