39 weeks on Saturday. Just back from the midwife and baby is measuring on the small side so she said I need to have a growth scan early next week! Haven't needed one up until now. She said not to worry and I'm trying not to. Anyone else had one this late on? TIA x
No problem hun I know exactly what you mean and what you're going through, it's very frightening when you think something could go wrong but we just have to have faith that if there was something really wrong they'd let us know...I don't mind having a slightly small baby or a small baby at all as long as he or she is perfectly healthy and well...I wish you lots of luck with it all hun, i'm sure your little beauty is just fine in there xx
Ok thanks for your reply and you're probably right about them just wanting to be on the safe side. So close to the end now just want baby to get here safely! Xx
yh I have with my first and second pregnancies but tbh I'm a skinny person and so it's highly unlikely I am ever going to have big babies lol...my first they wanted to bring her early because they said she wasn't thriving in the womb but they decided to keep me in hospital for the last 3 weeks of my pregnancy instead and gave me daily scans and strict meal plans lol...she was born 6lb 3oz and perfectly fine absolutely nothing wrong with her and we went home just fine. Same thing with my second child except I didn't get kept in just had to keep coming in for scans at the end because they felt my bump was measuring small but every time I had the emergency ultrasounds the sonographers were confused and said baby is perfect she's measuring just fine! anyway when she was born she weighed 7lbs 4oz, again perfectly fine and nothing wrong with her either lol. it will be interesting to see if I go through the same thing again. Tbh I wouldn't worry too much because it's likely to be just procedure to make sure all is well, if they were to ignore these things and something was wrong they'd be liable so I think it's to cover their butts and to make sure we have the best possible outcome xx
Thanks @nadsx316 and I agree don't mind the size as long as they're fine xx
