34 week midwife appointment today and have been extremely low on iron since my 28 week blood test but no-1 told me, I new I was extremely tired and they said the results come back totally fine! Asked her how the baby felt and if she seemed to be on track and she said it was to early to tell, honestly what is the point in seeing someone if they can't make me feel better about how my baby is doing, I haven't even had the same midwife twice since I found out I was pregnant it's been someone different every time, sorry in abit of a rant mood all over with now lol.
@nic881 Checking if you are still anaemic isn't pointless hun...it can mean life or death in certain situations. My midwife said I was lucky that my Iron levels were high enough...because I lost 3litres of blood after delivery and I nearly died as the result. Iron is essential for blood production etc...xx
I have had a different midwife at every appointment @winterbaby95 I think we should see the same one every appointment unless they are off for some reason, I don't even know who my midwife is meant to be, with my 1st at least I only seen 2-3 different midwives this time it's someone different every time xx
Aw we could go into labour on the same day @mummyraven2016 lol and thank you xx
I only saw my assigned midwife a few times! I saw 6 different midwives during my pregnancy! xx
I'm due 22nd of May got to have more blood tests when I'm 39 weeks to see if I'm still anaemic which seems abit pointless to me lol when are you due @mummyraven2016 xx
I know it's not pointless like that but I just mean for how late they are going to take my blood, 39 weeks then takes couple of days for the test to get back then to be prescribed the tablets and for them to kick in again, they should be testing me earlier because I could be in full blown labour by the time I find out if my iron levels are better and that's going to be no good if something was going to happen like loosing that much blood @winterbaby95 xx
