Do you think it is "bitchy" to not want everyone holding your newborn? I'm not crazy about the idea of everyone rushing in right after he's born and demanding to hold him. My husband gets all angry when I say I want time for the two of us to bond with the baby before everyone gets to hold him. I don't even really see the point in everyone visiting you in the hospital when you only stay over night! Its got me stressed out! 😰😰😰
sorry but your the one doing all the work he should try to understand
Ask the nurses to tell everyone that baby can't be held by anyone but mom and dad for an hour or two for bonding purposes. That way you don't feel like a bad guy, but you can keep baby close to you for a while. They can look and not touch for a while. They won't die. Lol. Also, make sure everyone washes their hands before holding baby and ask them not to kiss baby either. It's allergy season and your baby's immune system doesn't need to be compromised.
Exactly! I'm going to have this baby for the next 18yrs at least, a day to myself isn't going to kill anyone. But my husband acts like I'm being stupid and it really frustrates me. @jadestarlight @kandl @kellynicole @losmartinez @marieterrell92
I made people come the second night besides my parents and her sperm donor
I feel the same. use that time to bond and everyone can see the baby when you get home. not only that but I don't want my baby exposed to a bunch of germs and my hubbies family is pretty gross. also if you plan to breast feed that first hr is really important
im the same way, i have a lost of people im allowing in to see her after she's born. and its a small list. people who wont cause me stress. which means my M.I.L won't see her until after i leave the hospital.
I'm gonna be the same way. I've waited 9 months for my baby snuggles. And that baby isn't leaving my eyesight I do not care who is holding baby.
Nothing wrong with it. Not only that, the weather is sketchy and you don't need people passing their snot germs everywhere.
My son is almost 2 mos old and his brothers and sister havent even held him yet. Your baby , your rules.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
when my baby girl is born I will be informing the nurses that no one is to be let into the room for 2 hours because me and the dad are going to bond with her daughter skin-to-skin for the first hour with me and skin-to-skin for the second hour with him and then after that depending on how we feel will let people and come see her more than likely will let people come and see her after those two hours but like I said if we're both tired we might just go to sleep and wait until we're more energized to let everybody come see her
