so I'm breastfeeding my daughter when she's born, talking to my mom, she asked me If I was getting my nipples ready.. now I'm thinking should i be rubbing my nipples to get them tough? my nips are super sensitive to begin with..

no one ever told me but I guess I was concerned and I kinda just like sweeze and pull a tad kinda like a baby I guess, wasn't sure what to expect so I thought I'd try something.

No, don't mess with them. My mum thought it would be a good idea for me to rub my nipples with a washcloth in the shower.. Not a good idea. I don't recommend it. There's no need to do anything to them.

@ftm2babyc, I pulled and twisted mine to, I figured it was a good idea I got super sensitive nips.. @bellahali that's what I've heard, maybe it'll speed it up some for me!
