So as soon as Amelia gets the hang of breastfeeding without giving me pain she goes right back to latching wrong. This is the 3rd time we've had a set back and it is so painful. My boobs weren't hurting anymore but just yesterday she started clenching down really hard and even kinda boring as she slowly pulls off. It is so fucking painful and she's only 2 months so it's not like I can tell her anything or get mad. It's so frustrating. OH and to make it worse. Now she doesn't want her pacifier or bottle only boob. :(

@hellosweetie, your baby's lip tie stretched itself out. I just noticed my three week old has it. Doesn't seem too significant because she's eating enough. Just clicking when she's eating and occasionally pops on an off. My only concern is the amount of air she swallows when she's clicking. My 14 month old had a gap in front two teeth and after noticing my three weeks old lip tie I figured my older one might have had it too. Looked under her lip and sure enough she does. Never noticed though because she's never had issues gaining weight. Now wondering if they will want to treat her lip tie so her other teeth have room to grow in.

Awww sweetie, I was and still am in the same boat! My girl had horrible latch issues in the first month or so, turns out it was a lip tie and slight tongue tie, but eventually it stretched itself enough so she could latch without destroying my nipples lol...usually when she is rough, doing the clenching, pulling, popping on and off and niplash (when she whips her head in a different direction lol) is when she's either got to poop, or she is in the middle of a growth spurt and is uncomfortable or irratible...it gets better, you will have days where it feels nice and is relaxing, but then there will be bad days too....for instance, I am terrified as hell for the day she gets teeth and figures out how to use them 😂😭 and my girl has never once taken a bottle or pacifier, so no breaks for me!!! She is 7 months now, and still going strong 😤😥 😍 you are doing a great job! When she clamps just stick a finger in there and take a break, it will eventually teach her to not bite down lol also your own breast milk helps those nips heal nicely!
