So it's hard for me because my 16 year old past the test when she was in third grade and my niece passed it last year and now all my daughter's friends will be going to the third grade and she will be repeating and I don't want to send her back to the same school to be bullied because she has to repeat a grade and so I'm looking into other schools but see the thing is you teach her something she gets it then you go back to it and she like I don't know it so frustrating and she likes to wonder off so I'm scared to bus her because they lost her 2times on the bus and just the other day they let her walk home by herself I'm just in over my head please pray for me that I can find the right school and get an understanding of what to do
@mct no I didn't I just told the doctor the things she was doing and she came up with ADHD and odd and she said that she just immature for her age it get better with age
@terresa.nash I didn't read through everybody's answer but I was wondering if you had her checked for dyslexia. My sister has it and a lot of the things you have talked about she would do. Her memory has always been terrible. My mom would send her to do something and she would disappear and when we would find her she would have no memory of being told. She would get up from the table to go to the bathroom and then forget to come back to finish eating. She always met the developmental milestones but she was the fourth on out of five of us and my mom knew something wasn't right. It took a while to get her diagnosed but she has been so successful in life and she has a college degree and a great job now.
@terresa.nash That's what I did and they got a hold of the people to get them set up for it.
@terresa.nash i went to a behavior specialist
@terresa.nash I'm sorry that's such a shame. Both my boys are getting it set up for them. And they are in preschool
@busymama I am going to look into that because she has a tutor and she has to qualify for that they don't want to do the extra work I think
Have you thought about getting a helper for her while in school To help her one one every day.
@lexirosex3 thanks I will come up with something
@terresa.nash, wow! So sorry to hear that ☹️ that’s tough.
@lexirosex3 yeah that's why I'm going to change her school next year so she doesn't get bullied and she got tested last year and she didn't qualify
@lexirosex3 yeah I have done all that and they said holding her back Inst going to do any good but because of this test she has to be held back and she on medication but it doesn't help her do her work
Wow that’s all?? I would honestly tell them again and express my concerns with the principal than if the teachers don’t want to do anything about it. You know your child and what’s best for your child.
No problem! My son is suppose to be in 3rd grade going to 4th but he got held back first grade so he’s in second instead of 3rd and I know he feels bad because he doesn’t understand anything and gets frustrated but there are resources out there and if you speak to her teacher or counselor I am sure they can help.
@lexirosex3 I have and they said that they will keep a eye on her and she how she does all she does is sit there and refuse to do the work
Hope everything works out!! 🙏🏼 prayers!!
@sjo1, thanks! @terresa.nash, all I did for my son is I spoke to his teacher and explained everything to them and I expressed my concerns and they did an evaluation on him. They also saw that he needed help and they are now helping him in school. My son would get so frustrated to but we can’t allow that to frustrate us either.. just try to be calm and talk to the teachers and principle they will help.
@sjo1 thank you I need prayers and yeah hopefully we can come up with something
@damiensmommy1117 yeah then you can eliminate it and move on if it's not just to be safe
@terresa.nash
No, I probably should. I guess I've been kind of scared because of the huge stigma around it.. It would explain so many things about me though..
@terresa.nash I'm sorry! I wouldn't have any ideas on what to do or where to seek help but one thing for sure is that there is help. I can imagine how frustrating it can be girl I'm sorry! Hope things get better for you guys, lots of prayers ❤
@sjo1 I try but she says she doesn't understand and she shuts down and I get frustrated because she doesn't try so I know home schooling is out the question
@lexirosex3 maybe you could help her in the right direction?!
@damiensmommy1117 really so did you ever look into again
@lulu85_18
I was wondering as well if I might have some level of autism.. My mom brought it up to a doctor once and he shut her down and made her feel stupid so she never pursued it further.
@damiensmommy1117 yea I might be out of luck then because she does torturing too she still forgets
@terresa.nash
Nothing ever helped me unfortunately.. Tutoring didn't help, extra work didn't help, I just don't have a good brain I guess...
@lulu85_18 thank you she sees one now and all they said it was because she wasn't mature for her age and she just didn't want to do the work
@terresa.nash, yeah, this could any number of things - could be issues with short term memory. I have this issue too and so does my son. I’ve never been diagnosed with anything, but my son has. He’s on the autism spectrum. Some kids are high functioning and you would never know. I’m really thinking we both have asbergers. Doctors and teachers are often scared to be wrong so many kids go undiagnosed. Try a private psychologist or neurologist if your school doesn’t come up with a diagnosis.
@lulu85_18 I had her tested in the second grade they said she didn't qualify and she has ADHD and odd and she is on meds they help with her behavior but she still forgets when you tell her something like even simple things like go get me the pencil over their and she takes long to do stuff so maybe the new school will test her again hopefully we come up with something
Have you had her tested for any learning disabilities or developmental delays? Does she have an IEP? At first, my son’s school said nothing was wrong with him. I tried four different schools and six different doctors before we got an accurate diagnosis. I know this can be so difficult when our kids develop at a different pace. Some simply do not learn in this terrible setting most public schools have. Do not give up. I’m sure you will get some answers soon. Switching to a new school sounds like a great idea.
That sounds like me when I try to learn things, been like that since I was a kid. I would learn it and remember it that day, but the next day I wouldn't be able to remember how to do it.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.

Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
@terresa.nash I would definitely look into it. They told my parents the same thing about maturity. Insurance should pay for testing now. Dyslexia is actually a sign of great intelligence. They see things differently from how we see it. Albert Einstein had it.
