Okay ladies, I need advice. Currently I am 26&5 and my husband and I live in NC, I'm back visiting family for 6 weeks in Missouri so I'll be approximately 32 weeks when I return home. The problem I'm facing isn't how far along I'll be, but it's my family. It's been over a year and a half since I've seen them and I have gotten accustomed to being in a 2 person household with 2 animals instead of a 7 person household with 3 animals, one of which urinates where he pleases. I honestly just don't want to stay here for 6 weeks because I miss my home and my animals and my husband (although I won't see him until the 6 weeks is up anyway because he's doing some training away from home), but I don't want to upset my mom. But her house just is not big enough for all of them and my siblings don't help around the house so the house is disgusting and smells like urine and the bathrooms are horrendous and it's really roo much for me to handle. How should I go about this? Should I just tolerate it for 6 weeks or do you know a way I could tell my mom and hopefully hurt her feelings less? I'm feeling so overwhelmed and emotional right now I just need some guidance.

Honestly dont tolerate it. My mother in laws house smells like ammonia, urine, and bleach. She has three untrained dogs, and 4 people live there. the bathrooms are horrid as well. I got 3 utis while pregnant in that damn house, and kept feeling sick. It is not good to be in a house like that. Id get out.

I personally couldn't do it. The urine can be harmful to you and baby. Your mom should understand that.

Nothing wrong with being honest. Tell your mom that you don't feel comfortable in the house and ask if there's any way some changes could be made for the short time you're visiting. As long as you are kind about it, it's important to let your feelings be known.

I just don't wanna tell her her house is disgusting, but it is.

I would more so say you can't get comfortable with all of the extra people and things and being pregnant you just prefer smaller environments? That way it's being truthful but not rude and it's making it seem more like your fault instead of hers or your families. I would hate to offend my mom as well.

Yeah maybe just a week or two so they can still see you and spend time with you or whatever.
