it is 3am and I can't sleep.. the damn hospital gave him a passifier so now he wantd that insted of my boob i think.. my son will just not latch on and breast feed.. he did at the hospital but not now.. I'm so upset he just wont. I don't get to pump till tomorrow. .. sigh I'm so stressed.. I guess he will only get bottle fed breastmilk.. anyone else do this does it work good??? plz help... I'm so sad I can't do this..

also newborn babies have really small stomachs...
it took my son 50+ tries in a row, like tons of practice and I also used a nipple shield with him to make it easier for him while we learned. Like anything, it takes practice!
Sometimes it's hard for them to latch on. I tried so hard but my baby girl couldn't latch until she was almost 2 months. Now she's almost 10 months and we're still going strong!

@theirmommy_2, I am at home. he is in bed with his passifier. my nurse comes to my house at 10am. will he be ok then. he weighed 7lbs 14oz at birth he is 7lbs and 11oz now... @marmber
Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Has he been gaining weight? Was he checked for either a lip or tongue? I had a difficult time bf at first too. It does get easy

@leiibaaaby, I just feel like he is not getting any food.. sigh he will lached for few mins and then I can't get him too. my ob nurse is coming by in the morning... at 10am. I not been to sleep in 8 hours.
Dont give up it hard but worth it. Are you working with a IBCLC?
Keep trying! Maybe contact a lactation consultant tomorrow dont give up the first few weeks are always the hardest
I was feeding thru this nipple shield but now I just pump and give my baby breastmilk. I found it very comfortable for myself:)
