can mommas who had a c section tell me why they had one? besides reasons like GD, blood pressure, transverse, & breech.. tell me your birth story (:
@gypsy.soul2, got induced at 41 weeks, was in labor 31 hours and dilated to only 1cm. Therefore with no progress we all decided is best to go ahead and have a c section before baby became distressed. My scar is minimal and tummy went down completely.
I had an emergency C-section I hadn't felt the baby move that much that day so I went in and they said there was merconium in my urine and hooked me up to monitor the baby and said she wasn't doing good turns out she pooped in my stomach and was drowning in it and found out her umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck 5 times she wasn't breathing when she came out but everything turned out good and she was perfectly healthy this one I'm having another C-section cuz she's big and the Dr said I have a small pelvis
I'm definitely trying to be prepared.. I just want what's best for baby.. I'd love to go all natural again bc I loved it but if my body isn't fit for my son's then I'm not going to force him into distress for my own selfish reasons ya know? @baby4dueaugust15th
all 3 were, dont be scared, just be prepared for the unexpected ..... as much as possible anyways.
I went in for induction after 16 hours of labor water breaking on its own, I got an epidural to help with pain my cervix went from 7cm to 3cm. Then his heart rate drop so I ended up in csection. He was born at 9 lbs 3 oz with 14 1/2 inch head. My daughter was a repeat and she was bigger. Come June I'm having another repeat csection.
@baby4dueaugust15th that sounds traumatic
I was being induced on my due date, got to 8 cm my water broke on its own during a very very painful contraction. I hadn't had any pain meds. When my water broke my Dr checked and said he's breech. they ran in with a hand held ultrasound machine. He was coming arms first, just like my daughter that I delivered vaginal. while arguing that I could push him out that I already had once. he moved and I started gushing blood, emergency c section. he was out 3 minutes later. my water broke with so much force from my uterus squeezing that it ripped the placenta off the uterus. His heart rate went from 175 to 130 to 110 to 70 to 40 and she said I'm going in mow and got him out in time. I had to be put to sleep. They did the epidural running down the hall with me sitting on the bed. It was very painful her cutting my abdomen muscles but then I felt her hands slide on each side of my uterus and lift. I screamed I feel everything and boom he knocked me out.
I had planned to deliver naturally, BUT that did not happen. I was admitted into the hospital having steady contractions and dilating....so they hooked me up to pitocin and I dilated faster, I got to 10 they broke my water, I then got my epidural and then pushed for 2.5 hours and he wouldn't engage he would come down and she would dig in and see his hair but it's like he wouldn't ever make it to come out so I was so exhausted from pushing so long the doctor advised me he was afraid if he did engage his shoulders would get stuck and he could possibly become stressed out so we went in for a c-section, during pushing by the way my epidural was only working on one side at the end of pushing. My right side was numb, my left side I felt everything. The anesthesiologist came in and added more or gave me stronger drugs but I still felt a lot of pressure during my c-section so bad that when baby was out they shot me full of something and I was immediately passed out....I remember my boyfriend showing me my son and then I remember waking up in my room and trying to breastfeed lol. But I was 38 week 3 days when I delivered him!
my son was 9 almost 10lbs. he would go past my pelvic bone.. after 18hrs of labor, not progressing at all we decided it was best. baby number 2 is expected to be the same so I'm having a repeat. I'm thrilled I got to do the labor process with my son, but 18 hrs and drug free.. I don't think I could do all that work again just to be let down.
My first csection was when I was 18 (my oldest is 11) her heart rate dropped drastically so I had to have a n emergency csection then had 2 more repeat 5 yrs apart and now on baby #4 with a scheduled csection
@gypsy.soul2, I wish I would have just done the c section and not laid in labor for 60 hours. They tried pitocin, some pill they inserted in my cervix and a folly ball which inflates in the cervix to try to thin it. All those methods failed! The c section wasn't bad. I had it last night at 10 and I've already showered and been up walking some. The worst part for me was being numb because I hate not having control
@gypsy.soul2 that was the other issue with my son he was big lol
I had a c section because my baby girls head was swelling and it caused my cervix to swell back closed
@makaylabraxx wow!! I put no pitocin on my birth plan.. I don't like the affects it has on a body or how it's suppose to speed up the process when that's just not how the body Works
my cervix is our only concern as well.. I had surgery on it last year.. the only thing I'll let my Dr do to help it along is massage it bc the other methods kinda freak me out lol.. how was it? @ella1007
I was in labor for 2 1/2 days and never dilated passed 3. Even with an epidural!
I just had one because my baby girl wouldn't engage and I was dilated and in labor for 60 hours but my cervix would only thin 50%. They tried everything and nothing worked so my dr decided a c section would be best for me and bsby
I'm scheduled for a c section because my umbilical cord is on the side of the placenta which makes it weaker and not in the middle where it should be and it's harder for my baby to get the nutrients but he's still normal just a little skinnier. if I have it vaginally it could tear off from the placenta then have to do a c section anyways from the stress and contractions
my little guy hasn't engaged in the birth canal yet, he's laying on his side and my Dr said it could be bc of how big they THINK he currently is.. predicted 9lb to the minimum. the plan is to go all natural again but my pelvic may not be wide enough and I don't want to risk his shoulders getting stuck and then getting 44 stitch tear.. I'd rather sacrifice myself than risk his little self ya know? @lae1988
Mine was due to my son being in a weird position and wasn't moving down or progressing the entire time I was trying to push so we made the call at 10:30 that night to have a c section and now I will be doing another one this time scheduled in June

I have had two people tell me they see a line. Does anyone else see a second line?
Can somebody that had a girl tell me the symptoms they had/have?
who all has had a natural vagina birth ? if you have tell me about your experience !
who has had a c-section ? tell me about your experience
I've had multiple people tell me they've gained like 60lbs during their pregnancy! Like how??!!!

F my neighbor just knocked on my door to tell me I had a huge beehive in my tree. Wtf do I do about this thing? It’s huge!!
My water broke at 7am on August 15th and I went in and they had me wait in a room for a bit and came to see if I was dilating which I wasn't so they put me on pitocin and I started dilating but really slow and I ended up stopping at an 8 and stayed there until my water had been broken for about 21 hours so they said I had to have a c section. I had my son at 4am on August 16th.
