How can i keep the doctors/nurses from taking baby out of the room after i have her?
Ask your hospital. I just did my tour yesterday and they do not take the baby for anything. He is weighed and Cleaned up in my room. Until he gets his circumcision then he goes to the nursery or if I request them to take him to nursery. Otherwise he will be by my side until I'm discharged.
usually baby stays in the room..they do all the weighing and everything in the room now. they made me a couple hours of skin to skin and wouldn't let anyone hold him until I went to my room where I was allowed to have visitors...I had him at 9:50 and didn't get to go to my room til after midnight
I also will add I declined most of the tests and shots and my son was not circumcised so there was really no reason for either to leave my sight at all.
All my tests were in my room, down to the smallest thing. Your baby doesnt have to leave your room, we kept ours with us and no one so much as touched them without our permission. Write it on your birth plan and insist on it! The only time my babies weren't with me were for 1 min after birth when they weighed them and wrapped them in a blanket before handing them to me!
I would find out why. most hospitals try to do everything in the room with mom and some hospitals don't even have nurseries any more. mine didn't my boys only left when they had their 24 hour check with their pediatrician and when they were circumcised. the were only gone between those times for less than 1 hour. other than that they did everything in our room. so I would ask them and even make sure when you have your baby to tell them unless there is a serious problem (God forbid) that they are to stay with you. if you want to do skin to skin asap and breastfeed let them know that, usually they'll put your baby on you sometimes even with the cord still attached. So definitely talk to them about this and express what you want.
Honestly it is completely up to you. Talk to your doctor & explain your wishes. Depending on the hospital you can ask that ur SO stay with the baby at all times. I kept my youngest with me for the first 5 hours. Then they took her to get cleaned up.
Well today in most hospitals the baby stays with the mom in the room their entire stay but I'm not sure what your hospital does . Goodluck I hope they leave the baby with tou
they'll have to for biliruben tests and vaccines and such. but you can request that she stays in the room with you.
all of the testing and stuff can be done in your room. all you do is tell them baby will be rooming in and they will bring it all to your room.
as far as after the needed tests and checks are done, you can keep them for however long you want, but I know some places have rules about when you sleep.
@their.bomb.ass.mom, i dont want them taking her at all :(
they usually give you an hour or so of time together before anything is done or they take them for a while for testing and things.
idk when they take her but i dont want them taking her at all! Like i dont want her going to the nursery or whatever. i want her to stay with me and my boyfriend unless they HAVE to take her
They take her right away? Their supposed to leave you guys for a while
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
You request 100% in room care.
