That's something you and him would have to decide. There's no "one age gap fits all" type thing. It was really hard for me to even want a second kid. I swore them off, I said I was a one and done mom... If your heart says you can love another baby, your partner is on the same page & it won't take away from your first born having a good life then I don't see why you couldn't consider having another one. I was just scared because I was second generation only child, so I couldn't ask my mum or my grandma for advice with 2 kids. We weren't financially stable when we chose to have a second, and that kid through me in some loops by coming so early, but I actually really enjoy having two kids and I feel like my first born had enough time to get all my love and attention from. He's a gray big brother.

First kiddo I had at 21 (on my half birthday) and my second was due a month before my 26th birthday (and a month before my first born's 4 1/2 birthday), but my itty bitty came early. But to answer your question I waited 3 years before being okay with having a second child.
