is it true that the hospital doesn't let you leave with your baby without a car seat ? a friend told me that but i was kinda unsure if she was telling the truth

Where I am they also have to pass the car seat test they have to be able to comfortably stay in the seat without any problems (desats, etc) for a minimum of 30 mins, or the amount of time it takes u to drive home. so if u live 2 hrs from the hospital.. they gotta pass 2 hrs.
Yeah and they check the expectation date . So if it's someone else's and it's been in an accident they won't let you take it

yes I went bout the carrier set from babies r us for 200 dollars car seat and stroller came together

Yes its true they will also check to make sure you have it strapped in right, some hospitals will even let u rent carseats too

My hospital was total different. They did ask for a car seat but all they did is see her in the car seat and helped me put her in. Then they let me walked out and just gave me a coin to pay for parking. They never checked if it was well installed or any of that. Guess everywere is different.
