My daughter is 6 days old and drinking 2oz of milk every feeding. How long until she can drink more or can she drink more now? If so , how much? I'm a new mommy . TIA☺️❤️

My daughter is almost 10 weeks old and still only drinking 2oz. at each feed. But I think @camdensmama 's son (who is 3 days older than my daughter) drinks 4-5oz at each feed... so it's really hard to say. But at 6 days old, their stomach is so small and they're still adjusting to eating that any more than 2oz might just come back out.

I think my son started eating 3oz by 1 1/2 weeks then 4oz from 2 1/2 weeks old till 3 months and now he is 3 months and I give him 5oz and sometimes he eats it all sometimes only 4 still

I went by this and followed how many ounces per day per pound they weighed. it also depends if it is breastmilk or formula. breastmilk is more filling so they don't need as much but formula they need more. I was always told that as long as they are not screaming for more when they are done and as long as they don't spit up after then it is the perfect amount. I exclusively pump and my son is 3 months old and drinks 4oz at each feeding and has anywhere between 20-28oz a day

it just depends on your child! my son is about to be 12 weeks and drinks 4oz every 3 hours. sometimes only 3 ounces. I started off at 2 and slowly increased it 1/2 ounce when he seemed like he wanted more. I found increasing it a whole ounce was too much for him and he would spit up.

My son started drinking 3 oz every 2 hours at 3 weeks. Now he's 2.5 months and during the day he drinks 4oz every 2-3hours and at night he drinks 6oz before bed and when he wakes up!

Also. Just pay attention to hunger signs after you feed her, her normal 2oz to establish if she's still hungry!
