I have three boys ages 8,6&5. I am having my baby via csection on the 16th. I have to be to the hospital by 5am which means I will be getting very little sleep. I asked my fiancés mother to not come to the hospital until after noon so I can somewhat recover from surgery and have a little time with just me my fiancé and our daughter and she got very upset. Am I wrong for wanting a few hours to myself? She wants to be up at 7 when my surgery is scheduled for 7. I feel bad but I feel like I need time to adjust before we get swarmed with visitors.

@hermommy, I just might. I am thinking 4 hours of alone time is not much to ask for. maybe I can request no visitors at the hospital until I am ready.
if they don't listen you may have too, that's a surgery and y'all deserve time to chill and all that with the new baby

preach girl I've tried nicely to ask people not to come to the hospital bit noone will listen unless I go nuts on them
@hermommy, it took a lot for me to not go off on her. I just handed the phone to Jermaine and let him deal with it. He is better at getting the point across than I am. My hormones are hard to keep in check and I don't want to say anything wrong.
That's so selfish of her! I understand it's her grand baby but that's YOUR child! your going through everything. she had her time. let this be your moment to shine. I wouldn't let her get to you. you got this mama! also...congrats! :)
oh goodness lol your better than me I'd go off the deep end, that's a surgery if there wasn't her grandchild involved and it was just a surgery shed wait until you were comfortable unbelievable that she told you that
Thank you. She just made me feel horrible and like I was being selfish. I don't have family at all but we have my fiancé's family and our friends but we srent wanting anyone to come the first day besdies our kids and his parents but we want them to wait until we get settled. She just said that I was keeping her from her grandchild and I need to stop thinking of myself @hermommy @chewy1228
your in charge. don't feel bad because it's something someone else wants. you deserve some bo ding family time. I was the same way I had a natural birth. Ut I had 2nd degree trauma as part of my cervix got ripped off and I had surgery to fix things. I told all family after 26 hours of labor to come back tomorrow to see her. I need sleep. Lol you do what YOU want. :)
