Weed is illegal. Don't do it. Especially if you have kids. If you don't have it legally for medical use just don't do it. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
I hear you, I just wish it wasn't illegal. It's so stupid. But I do agree it's not worth putting your kids at risk. I just didn't know how to handle certain things, but I will just open up to my therapist and learn new coping skills. Hopefully my water binge with cranberry juice will just give me a clear result! No animosity here hun. I never said you were wrong. The situation and main core of the issue is just ridiculous :/
I'm not ridiculing you. I never said your name or said this was about you because it's not specifically about you. This whole time I have literally been saying the only problem I have is that it's illegal. I know it helps a lot of people, I never said it didn't or denied that it did. I also said smoking weed doesn't make you a bad parent. I don't know you, but I'm sure you're an amazing mother. Weed doesn't determine that. But still, it is illegal.
I posted it to get support from the ladies on this site, not to get ridiculed. I know what I did, and I'm trying to fix my mistake. Weed is NOT bad for the baby though. or you. the problem is that it's ILLEGAL. It does NOT mean it's bad. Pharmaceuticals would lose so much money if it's legalized and that's why it'll never happen. Cigarettes are legal, but guess what? My friend is only 25 and has just been diagnosed with lung cancer. But weed is so bad because it's "illegal". It's just stupid. I shouldn't have to be in this situation to begin with for smoking a plant. but, I'm quitting now, for my kids.
I didn't post it with the intention of making her upset. I understand seeing this probably did upset her, but she also posted her situation on a social media site so she wasn't hiding it. I didn't direct this specifically at her. I felt like posting my opinion on a subject so I did.
@brogansmommy, I'm not bashing on your opinion, I understand where you are coming From. Ofcourse now I see you posted it because you seen another girl on here that smokes and it irritated you to see that, your opinion does matter. But why post it knowing she would see, and it would upset her. Anyways @rmo_hernac not saying that the people working at the industries want to stop it, the government actually are the ones that are worried about the pharmaceutical industries loosing the money. My doctor actually was the one who told me that Marijuana wouldn't by any means hurt my baby if I were to continue smoking, I have ovarian cancer and I also am an epileptic, and it's one of the things that actually helps with the pain and sickness that goes along with chemo, and now that I'm pregnant I'm not getting any treatments or anything and I've completely stopped everything, now I can hardly keep anything down I've lived off crackers and ginger ale, and I'm hardly gaining any weight and I am now 21 weeks pregnant with a tiny belly, I say if smoking week helps you nurture you and your baby while pregnant do it. Don't do it to the extent of loosing your children, but just because it's illegal doesn't mean that it's wrong. I don't care what anyone says. I'm from a Native American tribe, and the government just wants to own us. It's a plant, made on earth for medication, it's never killed anyone, there's absolutely no reason for it to be illegal other than the inside things we have no say so in because we are ran by a government that is corrupt all in itself Now before I make anyone mad I'm going to hop off this post. I'm not trying to be rude or put anyone down on their opinion or actions. To each their own. Goodnight ladies!
Because I've encountered numerous instances of parents doing illegal things & I was stating my opinion on it.
I agree @brogansmommy hence the confusion about the post in the first place.
I feel like not doing anything illegal as parents would be a no brainer.
We are on the same page then @babyg407 !! I meant ignorant by the way, not arrogant.
Thanks @brogansmommy for letting us know not to do anything illegal as parents. Got it! ; )
I never said weed doesn't help people. It is illegal. Being that it is illegal it will get your children taken away. Smoking weed doesn't make you a bad parent, but the fact that you could lose your children over it should be enough for you to wait till it's legal to smoke it.
Marijuana is a mind-altering drug and is considered a hallucinogen if taken in large amounts. Marijuana raises your heart rate and blood pressure. Some people get red eyes or dry mouths or become sleepy or very hungry. The drug can also make some people paranoid (feeling like someone is out to hurt them or is plotting against them). It can also sometimes cause hallucinations.
Marijuana is as tough on your lungs as cigarettes — steady users suffer coughs, wheezing, frequent colds, and respiratory (airway and lung) infections, like bronchitis. It's just as ad as drinking. I personally wouldn't smoke it; however when it's used for medicinal use the marijuana is altered. For instance the use for PWE people with epilepsy. It helps treats their seizures but they don't just go buy weed and roll it up and smoke it. The canabis is altered & their are certain parts of the plant that's used for medical use. Same as for cancer patients. I know this because I myself do work for a pharmaceutical as a Chief Scientist and no pharmaceutical or the biotech industries are not trying to stop it.
I agree @peaceofheaven121 I don't understand the point of this post. Trying to make a previous poster feel worse than she already does, just feel like posting your random thoughts, what? Seems very negative and judgmental.
I don't usually comment anything, unless its positive.. But this post kind of irritates me. Marijuana has been legalized in many places..it's helps a lot of people--all different types of people. I, for one, do not smoke it, but many people do. More than you know. Do I think you should do it when you're pregnant? Not really. It's helps some people with morning sickness though. So this post to me, is naive.. Even arrogant. Just because you have certain feelings doesn't mean that you should criticize others and make them feel like a piece of shit. I know the post you are referring to-- and she's asking the community for advice. I'm pretty sure she doesn't want to go to sleep tonight hating herself.
I used to be a huuuge smoker, but quit a few months before I found out I was pregnant. & I also don't think drinking around your children is acceptable either. It's not the same because alcohol isn't illegal. Yes, you can get your children taken away because of alcohol & yes, you can be putting them at risk with alcohol. I NEVER said alcohol was better than weed.
@briezzy, yea... it is, I will never understand the intent but I know weed has helped so many people , and it's made a huge difference in a lot of doctors thinking but they dont want to lose their six figure checks. 👋😩😑 @briezzy
@kim5309, government doesn't want to fuck with then pharmaceutical industries, just like they don't have a cure for cancer but they have all the lovely technology we use, it's al about money.
@brogansmommy, it's a lot better than drinking attests you don't get blacked out and pass out on your kids, maybe you have such a bad idea of it because you weren't a smoker?
I agree don't do it while pregnant but just because you have kids doesn't mean anything. I don't do it but to me it's the same as telling women not to have drinks because they have kids. Weed is actually safer. Adults should be able to make that decision for themselves.
So you're saying that your want to smoke weed is more important than your children? If you're willing to lose them because you want to smoke then you're putting the weed before them. I don't care how bad I would want to smoke, I wouldn't do it because I know that would be putting my son at risk.
what's wrong with smoking while you have kids? do you know how sick you have to be to get it perscribed? It hasn't killed anyone, it's just what the government doesnt want, b.c people would be better off.
Like, I'm not judging anyone that does smoke, but I personally don't see why or how any mother could take that risk of losing their child(ren).
Smoke week before you take pain pills, weeds not addictive like pain pills, I definitely agree to using it for medical purposes, I've also read a lot on why it is illegal, the pharmaceutical industries will loose so much money allowing weed to be legal. But I definitely agree with what you're saying.
I know it's good for a lot of medical purposes, but it's still not legal in a lot of states. If you have it legally then by all means use it for its intended purpose, but if you're using it recreationally & illegally than I do not support it. Especially if you have children. I couldn't imagine risking losing my child because of weed.
I completely agree. I hope everything works out for you!
