My sister got my nephew circumcised, but if I have a boy I won't, usually it's whatever the daddy is, but now mom's are speaking up, doing the research, and just because they're boy parts doesn't new that's who decides. I don't down people who do, every parent is different, and that's okay.

I'll go to prison because I know what being a teen and pregnant was like....but I'm openly going to tell them everything about sex and and never lie to them. if that don't work prison will be fine.

I looked looked up circumcision gone wrong...yeah...that's one main reason I just couldn't do it...if he wants it when he's older that's on him...when he's old enough to care for it and knows what hes signing up for. :) @mrs.watson901 @gypsy.soul2 ...and hopefully at that age hea not having sex...or mine won't have to worry about hpv but me cutting his thing off myself....

My twin baby brothers are uncircumcised (their father is Muslim ) my mother is a hygiene freak and the oldest has had 2 serious infections and now at the age of 14 they chose to get circumcised because they are afraid of what might happen .. Lol to be honest I think some lil girl told one it didn't look right and they googled it.

well best wishes on the 15th and I've had to stop a few nurse's who didn't have a clue. but they seem to be coming around :)

@gypsy.soul2, I've heard that a lot of people end up tearing it because they don't know how to clean it and that's when it gets infected so I'm a little nervous about that...:( I just wish it wasn't seen as weird here! like it's there for a reason, you know? I'm also against getting a babies ears pierced though, because that can traumatize them AND mess up their ears. Just anything that causes unnecessary pain for purely cosmetic reasons without permission just hurts my heart. :( and we go back the 15th for an ultrasound! I'll be almost 19weeks so hopefully we'll be able to tell then.

my ex was uncircumcised.. I didn't really notice any difference.. he was Australian and it wasn't the norm there.. lol I can understand your feelings ♡ definitely let the nurses know how to clean it bc most nurses don't from what I've heard :( hurting the little thing :/ @katarama when do you find out the sex?!

@gypsy.soul2, I think it's mostly that you're removing a part of his body (not just that but his genitals) thats probably there for a reason, and he can't even give permission or protest or anything. :/ it just feels completely unethical to me. @mommi321 lol I like that! no disassembly required :)

they do the plastibell (spell) method now, to my knowledge, which doesn't hurt baby :) although purely cosmetic it does help fight against HPV in men.. which is a huge deal in America bc 1:4 sexually active people have it, myself included which turned into cervical cancer and then I got treatment which thankfully made it go away.. obviously it's your choice so definitely not trying to be combative momma just thought it was good to know BUT I'm pretty sure you're having a girl :P

@mama.to.zylanna, he's mad that he thinks I'm making the decision on my own, but I will NOT back down on this just because he thinks it looks weird. He says the pain is fine because it won't be remembered but I really don't think that justifies it at all. :(

@kim5309, there's really no risk if it's taken care of, just like with circumcision. it's just proper hygiene. and a babies' foreskin is NOT supposed to be retracted and when it is, it tears and that can infect it. A lot of sensitivity really isn't too bad. My boyfriend is circumcised and always bitches about if something isn't done a certain way he can't feel anything and it's probably because he's circumcised. There's also so much that can go wrong during a circumcision and all that so it can look "better" is just unethical to me when they're so young and can't even give permission to something happening to themselves. :(

Great to hear! The USA is one of the very few places that still practice male genital mutilation and I am happy that people are doing research and deciding against it! There's absolutely no reason to send your sweet boy through that horror! I hope he will come to his senses if you do have a boy.

I felt the same...but when they aren't there is more risk for infection, and the sensitivity would be so high with it not curcumcised. But I got a girl so no decisions there!

most women choose not to now... my son is not nor are my step sons.

I felt the same way with both my babies and I got both girls. Phew!
