I read a post saying that getting an epidural can cause women to have their milk delayed and make it hard to breastfeed. I really want to breastfeed, and I really do not think I can do it without an epidural
Has anyone ever had to be induced an had to get there water broken by their doctor, if so can you tell me how does it feel, do it hurt, can you feel it, do they give you an epidural before they do it an also do they give you an epidural before your pitocin or can you ask for it before then?? Really need answers bc I'm so lost this my first time ever getting induced after 2 kids an first time hearing if they might have to break my water I'm not ready for that if it leads to pain. But they not sure if they will break it hoping it breaks on its on.

I don't think that's true for all women I had an epidural and was able to breast feed

I've heard this as well & don't think the source was relaying the information properly... It really only has a slight effect on the baby in the first hour/two (can delay the natural "crawl" babies do during skin to skin when they breastfeed instinctually). However, don't think you can't go natural! Our bodies were designed to bear and birth children, yes there are instances and complications, but natural is possible for most all women... Society has just filled tv & stories with the idea medicated births are a necessity.
