@rikkil384 I had a csection with my 1st son but my doctor wants to try a VBAC this time. In terms of pain meds, If I feel like I can't handle the pain I'll definitely be asking for them.

@rikkil384 I did have shooting pains in my back the first couple of months after my epidural but that resolved completely. Like @gennaraetarallo said everyone's experience is different I know people who were induced and gave birth within an hour or two. However your birth story turns out I'm sure you will handle it like a champ. Also, what they say is true as soon as I heard my son cried none of what I went through mattered it all seemed insignificant and worth it to see his face and hear his voice.

@rikkil384, back issues memory loss and or nerve damage and in some very rare cases people go blind down the line some side-effects can't be notice off back it takes a while my friend had one and now she walks with a cane

@rikkil384 yes it is. Everyone I've talked to said the epidural was like the best decision ever lol. As far as getting induced, it's different for everyone no matter what kind of labor it is. Just try to stay calm. I'm terrified as well an I'm using essential oils to help with my nerves lol

@kimny No specific reason just because I wanted a specific doctor I been working with because if I go over the weekend I Don't really know the doctor on call. With process you went through that does sound terrible I really don't want it to be long like that , but I know I can't control that.... I really don't know what to do lol. I appreciate your input and advice!

@crissie22 what long term side effects could you have?

I've heard that being induced is more intense. Hoping I'm not induced. As for the epidural I hear that you don't really feel anything but pressure. The numbing meds they give u is thru a shot and I heard feels like a bee sting but after that it's mostly just pressure then nothing.

Are you getting induced for a specific medical reason? I got induced with my son voluntarily and the process was sooo long. Granted everyone is different. I went in November 17th at like 6pm and didn't give birth till the 18th at like 7-8pm. Was in labor for 18hrs got an epidural after like 10hrs and it wore off after what felt like an hour or 2. Once again everyone's experiences are different but I definitely would just wait for my son to come on his own time if I could do it all over again.

Instructions ain't bad but the epidural do have long term side-effects down the line but no you don't feel much

My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her own when she is ready to come ! As much as I am anxious to meet her and have her home with me, those last few weeks of brain development and lung maturation means so much more to me! I'm hoping and praying that things turn around, and I don't have to get induced. I'm surely going to talk to my doctor about it Thursday when I go back.
