Need some help ladies. My baby girl is only three days old and only wants to sleep when being held. I don't mind carrying her she is small and needs me. I am starting to use a Moby wrap with her. But I have to sleep sometimes too. Even if it's only an hour or two a day and she refuses to sleep in her cosleeper. Not sure what to do. Pediatrician says it's okay to let her fuss a bit but I don't want to traumatize her or anything by not coming to her when crying. What do y'all recommend???

how long do you wait until you put her down? Maybe try slowly rocking her as you are laying her down and move her arms out super slowly. like a ninja! lol if you aren't already also try swaddling her

iuse to lay her teddy bear right under my daughters arms something with my scent on it. but I stopped for some odd reason and now I regret it because now she's 13 months and I still have to hold an rock her and be under her while she sleeps because if I don't she will wake up instantly and cry

You won't traumatized her by letting her lie down! If you keep holding her 24/7 then she'll only be able to sleep when being held permanently and nobody will be able to keep her because she'll be to use to being held by you and being held period

Swaddling worked the best for my baby girl. I still swaddle her mid section and she's now 3 months old. Let her fuss for a little bit (easier said than done!) Haha sometimes babies fuss a little to try and get comfortable. Try quietly talking to her when you lay her down. Your voice my comfort her enough to finally fall asleep ☺️ & don't worry about traumatizing her, she will be just fine!

my daughter slept on my chest for the first 6weeks and she sleeps just fine on her own now. swaddling would probably work

I'm 15 years older then one of my sisters and I was her primary caretaker (when she started talking she used to slip up and call me mom). Something I started early on with her that worked beyond when she could talk, was rubbing my finger up and down on her nose between her eyes. It seemed to soothe her and force her to close her eyes. I still remember the first time I did that when she was able to talk and I asked if she wanted me to stop and she said no. Good luck to you!

try watching what she does when she's sleepy. all babies have a certain thing that they do that soothes them when they are upset or there's something that you do that calms them immediately. my nephew would tug on his ears and every time my mom would gently rub his ear, he would go right to sleep. my little one, I can stroke the middle of his forehead down the bridge of his nose and it calms him down instantly most of the time. you can try reading her a bedtime story, humming lullabies to her, the sound of your voice could put her to sleep. humming really works for me as well. also nursing calms them down. good luck. : )

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Will your Mom be in the delivery room?

Will your Mom be in the delivery room? My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
