I've been reading in how to lay my baby to sleep to combat SIDS and from what I've read laying baby in the back is the way to go. My mom just had a deggum argument with me bc she said I need to lay him on his side. which I read can actually promote SIDS. why are we arguing about how I'm going to lay my child?
When I was around 15 I used to take care of my baby brother for my mom. One night he was asleep in his bassinet and I woke up to the sound of him choking on spit up. He was okay once I picked him up but now my babies either sleep in bed with me or in a seat elevated for the first 6 months or so.
the "correct way" to lay baby in the bed is on their back but everyone does it different. I wouldn't let my lo sleep on her stomach in her own crib but will if she's laying with me. I wouldn't let baby sleep on her back, had a bad experience when she was a new born and it scared the shit outta me. I alway but her on her side or in her Boppy so shes elevated
Or you can co sleep 😁 reduces chances of Sids and it's good for you and the baby.
that's what I have been reading @lacywriter91 she's so sure that they will throw up and choke but im like we'll your supposed to turn their head
swaddled in the crib with nothing in it on there back that's what the doctor will tell you
@mommy2b2016, my daughter choked on her vomit while on her back. Ever since that day I've slept with her In the bed with me. Very scary.
