I'm scared I won't know how to either... try downloading an app called "contractions timer" it's like a stopwatch and does it for you. I hope this app helps us a little when it comes to it lol

Ask your dr. again you have nothing to be scared about its her job. If you are confused when shes explaining ask all the questions you need until you fully understand

In all of the birthing videos/classes I've attended, they say to start the timer at the beginning of one, note how long it lasted and then do the same thing when it starts again. Then you compare them from the beginning of one to the beginning of the next and that's how you know how far apart they are rather than from the end of one to the beginning of the next (which is how I originally thought it was). I hope that helps and i didn't word that too confusingly. 😁

baby: please take your time!

baby: please take your time! I'm so sick if people asking me if I'm "so done" or "ready to pop the baby out" HECK no!! My little man can stay in as long as he wants to. Any other mama's not in a rush??? FTM and even though I'm excited I don't see the rush??

Pushing confusion So obviously I'm a first time mom because I'm asking this. I'm a little confused on how long you push to deliver the baby. Ive heard stories where some say they pushed for hours but then some say they pushed three times and they were out. I'm just confused as if they mean from the cervix all the way out in three pushes or just once they were crowning it took three pushes. I understand every labor is different I'm just kinda confused lol.
