baby: please take your time!
I'm so sick if people asking me if I'm "so done" or "ready to pop the baby out" HECK no!! My little man can stay in as long as he wants to. Any other mama's not in a rush??? FTM and even though I'm excited I don't see the rush??
Same! I want her to stay in as long as possible! I'm starting to get really sentimental about the last few weeks with my boys before we add a new person to our family, especially with the holidays coming.. I had an appt this morning, I'm 36+1 and my midwife said she's engaged, super low and in position. She doesn't think I'll make it two more weeks. I'm hoping to prove her wrong though, I was really hoping she'd stay put until January. My last baby was born at 38+5 so I was hoping for at least that! I NEED it to finish preparing!
My usual response when people at work ask if I'm "so done" Is "Done with work: yes! Done cooking baby? Nope" I'm so ready for my maternity leave (starting Wednesday)
I'm glad someone finally said this on here. Makes me sick to my stomach when tons of other people say they are doing stuff to get labor started and they are only 36wks!!! I actually have to be induced at 37wks because I have pre-eclampsia. Which makes me very nervous because she will be three weeks early. I wish she could stay in there until she is ready, and I don't know why people want to their babies out so early!!
I have a three year old and an 18 month old. It is WAY easier to care for my baby now!! I'm tired, don't feel like moving half the time- but she is nice and comfy, and I'm content for her to stay that way at least until her "due date." Also don't want her coming early and having the stress of being in the NICU. Happy to be cooking my baby girl over here, and so not over anxious to have her earth-side yet. :)
I've only had ppl say not long now, but they've started saying "any day now".
NOO i'm 37 wks tmorrow and booked for my 3rd c-section in just 20 days.
It may not be long away but i need and want baby to stay in there for that day, so fed up of explaining it wouldn't be good full term or not for me to go into labour before then cause it would be chaos, getting one of the grandparents to comeover for the kids and possably getting the hospital to send out transport for me to get to the hospital for an emerency c-section, ppl seem to have no clue about c-sections unless had them themselves and think I can have a viginal birth.
And i don't like ppl saying maybe a christmas baby either.... Would mean the same chaos but bang on xmas eve or day.
Not what we want for christmas, i want my new year baby.
I'm fine with my daughter staying in til my due date. I had a placenta abruption at 33 weeks and it just scared the crap out of me, now I just pray she stays in til 37 weeks but I would be even more thrilled to make it to 39 or 40 weeks. I know several ppl who went into labor at 37 week and still ended up in the NICU and I pray this baby or any of my future children never have to be in the NICU.
Yes. We are team stay in. I need my little guy in as long as possible, he needs to have as much time to grow as possible, I need more time with my daughter, and to finish getting everything ready for him. I am loving feeling his big self move around. Very excited to meet him but just need some time. 36+6
This is my third baby (second little girl) and I'm okay if she stays until her due date. I want to spend as much time with my 2 older kids through the holidays as possible. They are 3.5 and 1.5 years old and I'm nervous about adding another baby to the mix! Hubby has been wanting her here since his birthday (12/5) and I said any time after Christmas- I'm due 1/2/15. As much pain as I am in, it's worth it to spend some time with my kids and hubby, just us, before baby girl gets here and we have to readjust our "normal".
I am ready to be done myself but want her to stay in there!! I am sore achy and tired and taking care of a 2 year old so would love it to be January already lol but I know this pain will be gone soon and I enjoy feeling her in there and this is my last pregnancy and won't get to experience this ever again! I will be having a repeat c section at 39 weeks although I would love for her to stay till 40 or longer it isn't an option so as long as she stays till 39 I'll be happy
So glad my family knows better then to say anything like that loll. Even though I'm exhausted, and ready to give birth, my little prince isn't ready, I'd rather him be ready and healthy, and stay in along as it takes for him to be full term then to have him hooked up to many wires and having a hard time in his new found world.
I feel the same way! I'm 33.2 weeks and there's a chance I might have to get induced at 37 weeks if on the 23rd it's determined I have uterine growth restriction. Everyone's like, "oh that would be great, you can meet her sooner!" No! It would be ideal for her to stay in and develop and come when she supposed to! I mean if she has to come early it is what it is but I just want her to be healthy. I know exactly what you mean!
OK MOMMIES! ITS TIME! The doctor called and said I have preeclampsia so I got rushed to labor&delivery; at 7pm. I have a tube in me that'll be here all night and in the morning they will use pitocin! Hopefully I deliver by tomorrow. PlZ pray for me!!! 1st baby so I'm super nervous and don't know what to expect! Here it goes!...
I got some strawberries and blackberries from the store❤❤❤ I'm rushing to the shower so I can get my hands on them
I'm so excited I may not find out what I'm having until January or something like that. but I'm in no rush, as long as it's a healthy baby 😊

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
so many girls in their first trimester saying they want their baby out already or want to be near the end of third trimester. like really? you're just getting started. I know I'm not 30+weeks pregnant yet, but I'm far enough along that I can say, stop wanting to rush your pregnancy and enjoy it. not all women get to have babies so be grateful that you can.
Me too. I'm trying to wrap things up at work, telling myself 4 more days till my maternity leave begins ( lots to catch up in our nursery once I'm home) and I have people asking if I'm going to make it to this Friday! I will still have 3 more weeks to go until Jan. 8th. This is my 3rd child and I hope to get enough time at home before she arrives. My mother has been bugging me if "any day now" since Thanksgiving! I finally had a talk with her about not asking me until after Christmas.
