Usually 3-4 days but my friend ended up staying for a week!

I was 37 wks. and she was almost 5lbs when we went home. they had a nurse come to check on her once a week until she was 7 lbs. breastfeeding helped her gain weight fast. only had 2 visits.

I had my C-section on Oct 27th and I was discharged Hallows eve. bc she was 4lbs 9oz she wasn't discharge her until Nov 3rd of 4th.

also if you are breastfeeding they let you stay with your child. that helped my anxiety with my daughter bc she was my first and had a C-section.

@aphrodite2014, oh wow I hope that's not the case with this one! I'm in NY.. My son was born in Georgia and my daughter in Texas... I'm going to have to ask for sure I need to mentally prepare for something like that

@rhonda.otero, I don't know about the hospitals where your at but the nicu I work at any baby under 37 weeks has to come to the nicu even if it's 36 6days.. then it has to pass nicu requirements to go home

@aphrodite2014, @alexusasia420 I'm just going to pray she is a little miracle baby and doesn't have to go at all... After all my daughter was born at 34 weeks and she didn't have to go and my son at 35 and they were both perfectly healthy thriving babies

@rhonda.otero, #prayersup she shouldn't stay too long either if anything now if u were about 27 weeks then I'll say yeah shell be in for some time but you wouldn't be that early so everything should be fine

@rhonda.otero, it's more likely then not that she will be in the nicu for up to 3 or more weeks.. depending on her condition so her condition won't rely on how long you get to stay.. you could be there 3 days but she won't go home with you more then likley

it was the same for me lol only I was younger so my mom had to calm me Dow. because I didn't know what was going on I was ready to leave and go to another hospital. they say its always better natural. Less complications.

@alexusasia420, that freaked me and my husband out. I was like resuscitate?!?! Why?!?! He had to slowly break everything down for me. This is so new it seems babies have it easier coming natural

Both my older kids were born at 34 and 35 weeks but they were extremely large babies so they never had to go but my doc is saying that c section babies have to be resuscitate first because I wanted immediately skin to skin.. He basically explained they need more suction and stuff to breath @bonita.jess315 ok thanks I wish they could keep me as long as they keep her @aphrodite2014 she will be 35 weeks and 4 days

@rhonda.otero, how early will your baby be.. depending on how easy it is it could end up in the NICU.. and getting out of the nicu takes a few days to a few weeks and you won't be in the hospital that long..

it all depends on how fast your body recovers. usually 3 days. you could stay a little longer if you don't make a bowel movement. only bc they want to make sure you are fully functioning. a C-section is a major surgery.

yes its hurtful seeing they tiny bodies going through a lot of stress. I been through and I cried a lot so I hope everything goes ok with your and your bundle of joy.

if it's your first usually about 3-4 days depending on you.. it can be 5 or longer sometimes

I think 3 days if it's no complications. But every hospital policy is different

I know vaginal is 2 and csection is 3-4 depending on how long the recovery process is.

I stayed only 2 days. But everyone body heals differently
