So recently I came off my antidepressants due to finding out I was pregnant and I'm feeling lower than I ever have before. It's horrible I'm emotional and want to cry most of the time. Do I still stop taking them or?
@zaralee71, i stormed through my psych nurse and got more then ones opinion i had then write up a report of the risk and benefits also my gp and midwifes opinions were both the same as the psychs i was on a few different medications and i had to come off a couple but ive been on my antidepressant the longest so i was very concerned about the idea of coming of them! I managed to get sorted , defo still go to your doctors and midwife and mental health work to get there opinions its helpful if they can help you ween off them aswell its all worth the hassle to know babies happy ans safe :) xx
early pregnancy is so hormonally challenging that it adds to this awful tearfulness hang in there and get support. x
I have stayed on my antidepressants throughout my pregnancy, docs felt it would be more beneficial to stay on them.
luckily mine are safe to take while pregnant so I would suggest just asking the docs maybe they could put you on a lower dose?? Or different tablet to help you cope :) Xxx
@lozzaa what tablets were they im on multiple ones i cna let you know if there safe xx
I thought I'd thrown the paper away which was inside the box and it said pregnant women can't take them but I'm back at the doctors on 26th. But don't know if I'll be able to cope xx
I've stopped taking them due to being pregnant don't want to put my baby at any risks! Back at doctors on 26th to see my doctor. Just really struggling but my baby comes first xx
