Mya nurse came over the other day n told me my baby was overweight n very advance she told me i should start spacing her meals to every 5 to 6 hours apart she is 2 months weighing over 13lbs almost but i dont think she is that big
I agree, my son was 7lbs 7oz when he was born. but he ate a LOT. I think he was about 13 lbs as well at 2 months if I remember correctly. I just remember the doctor telling me I needed to feed him less and just more often. and to be honest, I never listened. they're not the ones dealing with their crying child because they're hungry. if my son was hungry, I'd feed him. My son has always been a big boy. in height as well. He is now a year and a half and weighs about 30 pounds and is 33 inches tall!
Also, forcing your baby to wait 5 to 6 hours to eat is cruel. If your baby is hungry, they are hungry.
Do you formula feed or breastfeed? Either is fine, I'm just curious. Because if she is breastfed there is no overweight lol if formula you can overfeed, but in either case nurses are usually not the BEST source on that type of thing.
@aprilpennington, she is not really growing she grow like 2 inches since brith thats wat they r worried about
