This is what happens when a littles sister doesn't listen and goes a bit bridezilla. She wants all her sisters to wear the same thing for her wedding in a few weeks. I told her "I can wear something as similar as I can make it, but being pregnant I can't wear the same exact thing. It just won't work". Then she settled on a denim shirt dress. Cute, but wouldn't work on me normally, let alone pregnant (I'm pretty tall). She said she'd just femme a bigger size to fit over the tummy. I told her the tummy would also make it even shorter. She wouldn't listen.
Update: well I fixed it. Picture in another post
Wel success. I found. The fabric I needed at the first store I tried. Now to figure out just how I wanna do this.
In the meantime a I'm going to find some matching fabric and redo the whole bottom half of the dress.
She hasn't talked to me about it at all. She's just been freaking out to my mother. I guess, from what I hear, she's trying to find something to replace it but given this disaster I don't have high hopes ?
Lord no. I don't even wax for myself or DH. No way in Hades is my sister's wedding worth that ?
Lol. It would almost be worth it?
I agree with emmy. But when I looked at the link it says unavailable so you probably won't be able to get that one .
I would alter this one to be a little more form fitted and wear it as a shirt with a maxi skirt under it. If your sisters not ok with that then tell her to figure something out lol.
Has your sister never seen a pregnant lady before?
How could she possibly think it would work.
Ohhhh poor you. I hope you can find an alternative maternity dress in denim she might be happy with.
It's her wedding & she can have an input but not at the expense of you being completely uncomfortable!
I am with Emmy. Grab the Target dress she posted (hell, make it two, just in case) and you should be able to dye it the darker jean colour. Take the not-fitting dress and the fitting dress to a fabric store and ask for help for dyes. The ladies at those places are usually fantastic about these types of things.
Cause I sew for fun, and I could tell you how to make it more flattering, but unless you add some serious length to it (by adding more fabric) there is nothing that can be done about your entire front being exposed. There just isn't enough there to be altered. Also, the amount of altering to make it look like a dress shirt deal instead of an old mans shirt really isn't worth it, especially with the sleeves.
Idk why your sister would WANT you to wear that anyway. I mean I get it's her wedding but does she know it's her wedding? Lol- sorry. I legit would not in any way even remotely stress it. It's summer and you're pregnant. I'd hit up Amazon prime, get something your completely comfortable in and get it in a couple days and keep it moving. Got my baby shower dress for $18- and it's versatile top, flowy and I'm using it for maternity pics because it's that pretty. Help your sister out by finding an actual dress for her wedding that youll feel and look great in.
It'll be in Utah and probably around 95 outside. Maybe I'll just make it into a swimming suit and at least not sweat to death ???
Ok, so maybe a burlap/boho looking belt around your waist like this ( ссылка,ss:44&tbm=shop&srpd=15560835046680464713&prds=num:1,of:1,epd:15560835046680464713&ved=0ahUKEwjKuqH4tJbVAhXB5yYKHUfbA5kQgjYIpAU) and a white with lace at the bottom slip underneath? It will be short, but the lace should add length. Idk, that's my best advice if you're trying to keep this shirt. Lol
I have and she's freaking out about it. It wouldn't have become such and issue if she had listened to me months ago
It is hot as hell and it's an outdoor reception lol. I'll be hot regardless but yeah.
I thought about leggings but she's completely against that. It has to be a dress. And yes it's denim. She's got a kind of boho-chic theme. Burlap and lace kinda thing.
Not to mention the angles on it make me look like a whale ??
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!

Y’all please please be careful and monitor what these babies are watching on YouTube thank god my baby didn’t understand what the thing was saying he showed me the phone and said “scary mama” I think continued to listen to what the thing was saying and I was livid and horrified it was explaining to my son how to kill the whole family while everyone was asleep

My husband and I aren’t exactly strangers when it comes to relationship challenges 💞. We have been together for 14 years and married for eight, so we’ve definitely gone through some growing pains as we navigated a long-distance relationship in college and our first year living together as a married 👫 couple.
But nothing has challenged our relationship quite like our first year as 👪 parents .
Before you have your first child, you have these grand ideas of what it will be like. There’s more slee...
Dad's FB Video!!
Did anyone see that video a dad posted on his daughters FB page? He saw a post she made where she bashed her parents and cursed them, called them lazy and told them they should pay her for stuff she did around the house... So he called her out on it and put the video on her page!! Sorry if I missed a post already about this already, but I just saw the video and IT WAS AWESOME!!! Hahahhaa!
