Awesome thought so, but how many did you start out with? Want to be prepared!

I haven't got to do the cloth diaper route yet myself, but I have a close friend that swears by Alva baby the one size small closure with bamboo inserts. She said to begin it will cost approximately $300 with shipping cost. Believe she said 80 diapers, a couple wet bags, inserts, disposable liners would be sufficient :)

My favorites are grovia, best bottoms and moraki! Nickis diapers are good to and is an excellent site to buy all brands. Try out some different kinds and styles and see what you like. I always recommend spending a bit on your diapers and not going the "China cheapie" route. For us they didn't last more than a few months before we had for and leak issues. Cloth diaper swap II on Facebook is great for buying gently used diapers. Let me know if you have any questions at all!

I started with best bottoms--3 covers and 12 inserts is all I started with! I have 40 diapers now and wash about once a week :)

@kmally did you start with new born size or no?

I didn't with my first--we started at about a month old after he was getting severe chemical burns from disposables. This time we plan to use our best bottoms and grovia covers with newborn sized prefolds as inserts. Both of those brands go down to 8 lbs and my guy was 8.2 when he was born so I'm hoping they fit well! Best bottoms fit him great when he was a month old

We currently use disposables since we live in an apartment and use coin operated machines, we are looking to be moving in the next month or so to a place WITH a washer and dryer and with having 2 kiddos in diapers, we'll be going the cloth diaper route as well.. had a boy April 2015, I'm due April 2016. Lol Good luck!
