Labor Story: I was scheduled to be induced at 5am on 1/15/2015. We came in, they tried to get an iv 4 times before successfully getting one, so bad start. They started giving me antibiotic at 6am and then started pitocin at 9:30am and was checked and was a 4 cm and 60%. Contractions came every 2 minutes and lasting a minute, checked at 11:30am and was only a 4 1/2 cm and 80%. Contractions still were coming the same and we continued to wait. It was long and I hurt a lot. We checked at 2pm and I still made no progress, I thought this was going to be a breeze, 5th child & previous pregnancies I had went all natural and quick. We decided to finally do an iv pain med so I could rest. Let me say that first dose lasted an hour and I was in heaven. We checked again at 330 and
I still hadn't made progress so I broke down and decided on an epidural. Worst mistake ever, he numbed me & when he went to do the needle he hit a nerve that shot down pain in my leg, twice. That option was out, in was forced to finish without meds. They broke my water at 5:30pm & a long hard hour of more labor and finally my 8 on 2 oz (biggest baby I've had) came. Sorry so long!
they should have broke your water before the pit drip! that would have helped a lot! so sorry for the terrible labor but your bundle is adorable, congrats mama! get some rest.
Thank you! That would have helped a lot but she is worth all the pain & just happy she is healthy and happy! @mamamj
