My daughters insurance card hasn't come in the mail yet so I haven't been able to send her number to the hospital to get our bill paid off yet. Well I just got a note from the hospital saying to let them know what it is ASAP because I have a balance of 1724.05. I always thought having a baby cost WAY more than that lol I had no idea. Thankful I don't have to pay it straight out of pocket but I thought it would be like thousands and thousands.

it does cost way more than that. your part has been paid already, the remainder is just your babies part. it was $1,200 for my son's circumcision alone!

@elenasmommy I was in the hospital for 6 days & my bill was right around $140,000. all I could say was THANK GOD for Medicaid!
